Description


  • Diagnose/troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, drains, water supply and gas equipment

  • Replace new fixtures, faucets and equipment as needed

  • Snake drains and make repairs to systems both inside and exterior of the building

  • Repair gas, water and drain leaks in a professional manner for long lasting results

  • Present options and pricing to customers 

  • Complete approved repairs/improvements in a timely manner and collect payment

Hours & Working Conditions


  • Average 40 hours per week (typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays)

  • Overtime as required

  • Rotating weekends schedule as required

  • May work outside, in crawlspaces, and attics

  • Knowledge of connecting methods for copper, PVC, PEX, CSST, ABS and other types of pipe

  • Knowledge of safe handling of power tools and specialized plumbing tools

  • Lifting and physical exertion required 

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Troubleshoot plumbing equipment including toilets, shower and bath valves, disposals, instant hot water dispensers, water heaters, tankless water heaters, drain, water supply and gas piping

  • Present findings and options to customers, providing advise as needed/requested

  • Complete approved repairs, improvements, or installations within industry standard hours per repair pricing guide

  • Clean equipment/work area

  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction upon completion of work

  • Complete all paperwork required by management, collect for work performed

  • Maintain truck inventory, keep assigned service vehicle organized and clean

  • Track vehicle maintenance and alert management when maintenance is necessary

  • Contact the office following the completion of each call, providing requested information regarding the work completed, and receiving dispatch instructions for the next call

  • Provide customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, and other comfort improvements

  • Provide customers with information on new equipment when repairs exceed a pre-determined cost and/or existing equipment exceeds 10 years of age

  • Perform equipment installations if needed

  • Perform maintenance work if needed

  • Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvements

  • Other duties as needed 

Job Requirements


  • Journeyman license or equivalent

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

  • Valid drivers license

  • Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)

  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide repairs at the service technician level

  • Two or more years of experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or service technician

  • Standard plumbing technician tools

  • Neat, clean, professional appearance

We are looking for a relationship with a journeyman electrician with experience. Licensed or working on License is OK. Working with our small Team means that honesty, integrity, good communication skills, attention to detail and health and safety consciousness are a must. Applicant MUST be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory, Codes and Practice relating to residential and light commercial work. Must be proficient in the use of romex, MC cable, flexible metal conduit EMT and Rigid conduit (up to 2”). Also including ability to “cut-in” receptacles, lighting outlets and switches, plan and do Service changes, sub panel installation, kitchen and bath remodels, lighting and power outlets, A/C and EV, etc. as well as Troubleshooting and repair. We often deal with old knob and tube wiring and Low voltage wiring including phone, CATV and Ethernet. Will need tools, vehicle and phone. 

Hourly wages for P/T, F/T based on experience (typically $35-$50).

* Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, turning in all receipts, back up documentation, pictures, videos and maintaining          files.


* Keeps current all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair


* Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required



Qualifications:
 


* Minimum 3+ yrs working with package units, split systems, pumps, and various HVAC equipment.


* Mech4 License ( or obtain within 30 days of start )


* Must have experience in the Commercial HVACR industry; Associate degree, HVAC trade school certification or 5 years apprenticeship          program


* Must possess a valid driver's license/clean driving record.


* Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs to access mechanical room and rooftop equipment


* No DUI, DUID or DWAI convictions in the past 36 months.


* Can successfully pass a criminal background check and drug test

We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated HVAC Technician to join our growing staff. The individual in this role will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and fixing our customers’ heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Candidates should have extensive experience handling, installing, and fixing HVAC equipment, and be comfortable working with little to no supervision. We are based out of Central Jersey, near Rutgers and our area of services included but are not limited to Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean Counties.


HVAC SERVICE Technician Responsibilities:



  • Knowledgable in Residential and Light Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment, including Furnace, heat pumps, boilers, mini-split, central air conditioning systems, etc.

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

  • Travel to homes and businesses on a daily basis and respond to work order request in a timely fashion. 

  • Perform consultations with customers while keeping the line of communication in check. 

  • Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods

  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety

  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity

  • Conduct performance tests with specialized tools

  • Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues and repair defective equipment

  • Repair damaged HVAC systems

  • Sell ongoing maintenance contracts to current and future customers

  • Keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions including invoices

  • Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources


Qualifications:



  • 3-5 Year experience in the field under a journeyperson preferred.

  • Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants, Type I & Type II Required.

  • Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school required

  • Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand

  • Critical-thinker, problem-solver, Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Must hold state driver’s license

  • Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations

  • Familiarity with industrial tools, equipment

  • Have all necessary Hand Tools required to do your job.

We are currently looking to hire full time field technicians / HVAC technicians that will be based out of our Raleigh, NC office. All of the openings can interview and start ASAP and pay $15.00/hour depending on experience. Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.

  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

  • Respond effectively to all emergencies.

  • Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work, and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken.

  • Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This to include building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other building related equipment.

  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering,

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES



  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license

  • Universal CFC recovery certification



WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS



  • Candidate will be provided tools required to perform assigned work scope.

  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders.
