Qualifications:
Must be friendly, people-oriented and have good communication skills. Able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift. Able to frequently lift and carry food, beverages, and other items greater than 25 pounds. Applicants must have a professional appearance. Must have weekend and holiday availability. Minimum six months experience in customer service required. Only accepting applicants who can work up to five shifts, or approximately 25 hours, per week.

Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment at Thunder Valley Casino Resort! Thunder Valley Casino Resort is the only AAA Four Diamond property in Placer County. Were always looking for superstar achievers to join our ranks either full or part time.

 

Host/Cashier must perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures; maintain the highest degree of professionalism while ensuring that each guest is treated as a highly valued individual and vitally important to the success of the operation; organize seating and proper station rotation of the restaurant; be responsible for greeting and seating guests; ensures that bus persons have tables cleared and set on a timely basis; update table status using the Host Alert system; update and manage the wait list using the Host Alert system; and process guest checks using the Info Genesis system, handling cash transactions including credit cards, comps, promotions, coupons, discounts, and boarding passes points.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casinos "Winning Attitude" Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casinos AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.
  • Be in station at assigned time to work.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings.
  • Greet guests at the entrance verbally with a warm welcome and inquiring about the number in their party.
  • Seat guest pleasantly, quickly & evenly throughout open stations or, placing parties on a waiting list using established guidelines.
  • Present menus from the left side after guest have been seated.
  • Controlling the entrance area, organizing parties waiting to be seated.
  • Updating open station status, station templates and assign servers to stations following the daily labor allocation sheet.
  • Communicating with servers, bus persons and Management on room coordination.
  • Processing guest checks following established procedures and proper tendering of transactions.
  • Taking and processing to go orders.
  • Ensures cleanliness of all menus including posted menus and signage.
  • Following established side work duties.
  • Following established internal control procedures for obtaining banks, returning banks and non-cash paperwork drop.
  • Answering telephones within 3 rings and providing information.
  • Bussing and resetting tables when needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
