A Berger Bros Pub Hostess/Host must have excellent customer service skills.  She/He will will greet guests upon arrival making them feel welcomed and seek to enhance the guest’s experience during their time in the restaurant.  

The Hostess/Host will take customer’s  reservations or put them on a waiting list, give them menus and show them to their seat. The Hostess/Host will handle phone calls for to go orders and customer queries about the restaurant and menu.The Hostess/Host will work closely with the wait staff to maintain an organized account of customers coming in and out of the restaurant and keep track of which tables are available or need to be cleared.  They will assist various restaurant staff when necessary.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a New Grad Staff Nurse for our 2 East Louis (Med/Surg) unit located at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This is a resource position and is limited benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled on PM shift (3:00PM-11:30PM) and Night shift (11:00PM-7:30AM), with rotation into weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).


In this role, you will:

  • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit

  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care

  • Communicate and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Current professional nursing licensure in the state of IL required

  • Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

  • BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required

  • Prior nursing or if new graduate nurse, CNA experience preferred
