We are looking for a relationship with a journeyman electrician with experience. Licensed or working on License is OK. Working with our small Team means that honesty, integrity, good communication skills, attention to detail and health and safety consciousness are a must. Must be able to take instruction and learn on the job. 

 

Applicant MUST be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory, Codes and Practice relating to residential and light commercial work. Must be proficient in the use of romex, MC cable, flexible metal conduit EMT and Rigid conduit (up to 2”). Also including ability to “cut-in” receptacles, lighting outlets and switches, plan and do Service changes, sub panel installation, kitchen and bath remodels, lighting and power outlets, A/C and EV, etc. as well as Troubleshooting and repair. We often deal with old knob and tube wiring and Low voltage wiring including phone, CATV and Ethernet. Will need tools, vehicle and phone. 

Hourly wages for P/T, F/T based on experience (typically $35-$50).

SCHEDULE: Tuesday - Friday, 7:45 AM - 6 PM. Occasional shift change or O/T required at times.

  • Replace new fixtures, faucets and equipment as needed

  • Snake drains and make repairs to systems both inside and exterior of the building

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Troubleshoot plumbing equipment including toilets, shower and bath valves, disposals, instant hot water dispensers, water heaters, tankless water heaters, drain, water supply and gas piping

  • Present findings and options to customers, providing advise as needed/requested

  • Complete approved repairs, improvements, or installations within industry standard hours per repair pricing guide

  • Clean equipment/work area

  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction upon completion of work

  • Complete all paperwork required by management, collect for work performed

  • Maintain truck inventory, keep assigned service vehicle organized and clean

  • Track vehicle maintenance and alert management when maintenance is necessary

  • Contact the office following the completion of each call, providing requested information regarding the work completed, and receiving dispatch instructions for the next call

  • Provide customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, and other comfort improvements

  • Provide customers with information on new equipment when repairs exceed a pre-determined cost and/or existing equipment exceeds 10 years of age

  • Perform equipment installations if needed

  • Perform maintenance work if needed

  • Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvements

  • Other duties as needed 

Job Requirements


  • Journeyman license or equivalent

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

  • Valid drivers license

  • Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)

  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide repairs at the service technician level

  • Two or more years of experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or service technician

  • Standard plumbing technician tools

  • Neat, clean, professional appearance

Thorough knowledge and understanding of prime contract and subcontract documents, materials, means and methods. Ability to read drawings and evaluate specifications. Strong computer skills and a familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project). Very strong English oral & written communication skills required.

Our Estimating team works together with architects, engineers and subcontractors to develop pricing for a wide array of construction projects. The Estimator is ultimately responsible for establishing project budgets and ensuring that the best team is assembled on every project. Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive subcontractor lists for each project, distribute invitations to bid and ensure accurate trade coverage
• Order all drawings and specifications and distribute to plan room and subcontractors
• Attend client job walks and schedule and manage job walks with subcontractors
• Thoroughly examine plans and bid documents to determine constructability and uncover inconsistencies or discrepancies in the bid documents
• Develop scopes of work for each trade to eliminate “gray areas” between bidding trades
• Generate and submit RFI’s to help clearly define missing scope and/or discrepancies in the bid documents
• Qualify subcontractor bids to ensure the scope of work is completely covered
• Build complex spreadsheets linking various bid form templates together.


Qualifications
• 3-5 years of building construction experience is preferred.
• Four-year college degree in construction management, engineering or business administration is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of plans/blueprints, contract documents and specifications.

Summary:


To provide on-site coordination for all phases of commercial construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.


Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities of Superintendent:



  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

  • Communicate with project team regarding RFI’s and Material Submittals.

  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.

  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

  •    Estimate job when assigned in conjunction with estimating department.

  •    Review permit plans and specifications.

  •    Prepare, maintain and assure company performance on project.

  •    Oversee construction projects as assigned to see that a timely completion and company’s financial goals are met.

  •    Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing, r     equirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

  •    Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel       through Human Resource Director.

  •    Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.

  •    Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

  •    Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.  Prepares project reports         for management, client, or others.

  •    Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

  •    Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.

  •    Provide employee training in the areas of safety (including OSHA guidelines) shop practices and internal quality provisions.

  •    Responsible for invoice collection in accordance with the contract.

  •    Responsible for conducting Superintendent employee evaluations.

  •    Perform all tasks and duties assigned by Project Manager.

  •    Must become proficient in Conceptual Estimating.

  •    Must be able to run small construction projects

  •    Must assist superintendents on projects

  •    Must be able to handle all technical aspects of Construction jobs including but not limited to:

  •                    Shop drawing review

  •                    Sample review

  •                    Scheduling

  •                    Submittal review

  •                    Construction meetings

  •                    Pay applications

  •                    Change Order and Purchase Order maintenance

  •                    Other miscellaneous maintenance of construction jobs


Supervisory Responsibilities:


Supervises Project Superintendent, subcontractors and vendors.


Education and/or Experience:


College degree in Building Construction or equivalent. 


 Language Skills:


Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of mangers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills:


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts college level algebra, geometry and trigonometry.


Reasoning Ability:


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Authority:


The Project Manager has the authority and responsibility to accomplish the specific duties above.  However, without the approval of the Vice President of Construction, or the President, the Project Manager may not contract for any services for the Company.  He may not divulge any information of a confidential nature to the Company or about any employee of the Company.


 Technical Requirements:


Computer literate, utilizing all McCree software proficiently.


 Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


Contractors license preferred.

Core Duties:


  • Responsible for holding coordination meetings with Subcontractors and scheduling team members from different trades to meet the requirements of the project schedule.

  • Daily Field Reports.

  • Reading and interpreting drawings to ensure the project is being built per the approved plans and specifications. Perform QC walks to confirm the installation’s match the approved drawings as well as material inspections to confirm the installed materials match the approved submittals.

  • Scheduling inspections with the Inspector of Record or City Inspectors depending on governing authority. This includes the scheduling of deputy inspectors.

  • Hold Weekly Tailgate safety meetings and Ensure the company’s safety program is being followed. Be the onsite presence that enforces safety and holds individuals and companies accountable for creating a safe environment.

  • Attend OAC meetings and represent the company in a respectful and professional manner.

  • Work with the Project Manager to develop the project schedule and update it throughout the project.

  • Develop 3 week-look-ahead’s and send to the Project Manager for review.

  • Review Submittals with the project engineer for conformance prior to it being submitted to the Architect / Engineer.

  • Generate RFI’s.

  • Review Sub-contractor COR’s for validity and cost.

  • Keep updated and current as-built drawings.

  • Develop procurement logs with the Project Engineer and help ensure long lead items are ordered in a timely manner.

  • Perform material take offs and estimated man hours for any in-house work generated through change order’s.

  • Create and/or follow through with punch list items to ensure all outstanding issues get closed.
