Bancroft Skilled Nursing Center is seeking a qualified Director of Nursing (DON), responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department. The Director of Nursing will assure that each resident receives the necessary care and services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psycho-social well being, in accordance with their comprehensive plan of care.

Essential Functions include:



  • Assures nursing organizational structure supports clinical and administrative standards and goals that will enable the center to achieve its mission and ongoing survey readiness and regulatory compliance.

  • Implements systems, processes, and programs to achieve the goals and strategic plan for the nursing center.

  • Leads nursing management team to ensure quality outcomes.

  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and other regulations, including state specific clinical practice acts.

  • Accountable for consistent assignments in the center and adjustments to staffing based upon census.

  • Participates in the nursing center quality assurance process by analyzing outcomes, identifying trends and developing plans of corrections.

  • Collaborates with other members of the health care team as needed.

  • Reviews prospective resident referrals to assure that clinical services can be provided. Assesses nursing department educations needs and set s obtainable goals to enable the center to provide more complex clinical services that will broaden the center’s referral base.

  • Participates and/or leads committees or work groups as deemed necessary and/or requested by Administration.

  • Communicates and collaborates with the Medical Director, attending and consulting physicians, ancillary and service departments.

  • Assumes responsibilities and authority of operations in the short term absence of the Administrator.

  • Remains knowledgeable about the residents and their conditions through mechanisms such as making daily rounds and discussion with charge nurse and promotes person-centered care.

  • Promotes an environment where residents’ rights are protected and residents are free from abuse and neglect.

  • Responsible for evaluating staff development needs for the nursing department.

  • Ensures clinical competency of all nursing staff. Collaborates with DSD to develop and manage systems to assure clinical competencies during the hiring process and annually.


Qualifications



  • Valid California RN license.

  • At least 2 years of experience in as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility.

We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in a family oriented environment. Our school's mission is to provide high quality Early Childhood Education for 120+ families and 25 staff member in 2 campuses. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our families with general operational inquiries such as billing and account services and supporting staff with daily office needs.

Administrative Assistant responsibilities include scheduling tour arrangements, preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment, google docs and google sheets. If you have previous experience as a Secretary or Executive administrative assistant and familiarity within school environment, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our schools.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct phone calls
Organize and schedule tours
Provide orientation to the new families on how to navigate the school's sign in/out
Prepare tour packages and correspond with the perspective families
Guide the new families through their enrollment process
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Develop and maintain a filing system
Update and maintain office policies and procedures
Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
Maintain contact lists
Assist Executive Director in screening resumes and provide in hiring
Provide general support to parents and staff
Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
Skills

Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
Excellent Computer skills
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
