We are looking for dedicated Fulfillment Specialists to work in our Distribution Center/Warehouse in Alameda, CA. We have part-time and full-time roles! Join us!

No experience required - we will train you! Entry level positions pay $15.00 per hour to start. You have the opportunity to become a Team Lead within 6 months to a year, AND that would increase your salary and responsibilities!!!

The Fulfillment Assistant is responsible for supporting the Fulfillment department to process daily shipments of inventory and products, and receiving of other inventories.  This support includes pulling, packing & shipping customer order, receiving supplies, providing will call pick-ups, and daily inventory tracking and stocking. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Retrieve and print ecommerce orders each morning

• Accurately pull product from inventories according to orders

• Carefully and accurately package and/or gift wrap ecommerce orders

• Accurately pack wholesale orders

• Weigh boxes and process shipments on web-based shipping system

• Deliver processed packages to the US Post Office or other carrier office

• Stock, organize, count and order product and supply inventories as needed

• Keep shipping area clean and orderly while working, and at the end of each shift

• Support Fulfillment Specialist to answer customer inquiries and resolve issues that affect orders

• Reserve and pull products for Will Call customers and assist customers with loading as needed

• Provide outstanding customer service and follow through for internal and external customers

• Other administrative duties as assigned

 

Requirements

• Experience with shipping and receiving, or working in a similar fulfillment role

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication and personable phone skills

• Ability to interact in a professional, positive and respectful manner and maintain cooperative departmental relationships

• Proven skills in providing exceptional customer service 

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy 

• Ability to multi task yet maintain an attention to detail 

• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage tasks and time schedule

• Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift

• Ability to safely lift or carry 25-45 lbs

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand on your feet for an entire shift

• Bend and stoop to grasp objects. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat

• Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 25 pounds

• Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation

• Environmental exposures to extreme temperatures (freezers)

 

Schedule:

This is a Part-Time position 

Monday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Tuesday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Wednesday, 8:00am – 4:00pm 

Thursday, 8:00am – 1:00pm (times may vary, depending on workload and Season). Flexibility and availability to work additional days and/or hours seasonally is a plus!

Primary Function:


Provides daily maintenance and support to ensure operation of production and warehouse equipment by performing set-up, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting techniques and repair.


Specific duties will include:



  • Line set-up and changeovers of production equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.

  • Perform general troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.

  • Maintain condition of equipment tooling.

  • Perform validations on equipment as assigned

  • Perform various facility maintenance tasks.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Enter work data into computerized maintenance software.

  • Support IFS continuous improvement efforts.

  • Additional duties as may be assigned


Training/ Skills



  • High school diploma/ GED.

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • General mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Ability to stand extended periods of time and perform tasks that require reaching, bending, and carrying.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Familiarity with computers.

  • Experience and familiarity with production equipment.

  • Must be able to read a multi-meter and have knowledge of electrical. Electronic schematics.

  • Must be able to inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

  • Must be able to use equipment manuals to identify problems with machines and identify parts.

  • Experience in repairing and replacing defective equipment parts.

  • Experience in machine safety and lock out/ tag out procedures.

Reporting to the Fulfillment Manager the Team Leaders in the Fulfillment Department lead and manage the activities of the shift of workers involved in fulfilling orders for printed signage and graphic materials. The leads assist the supervisor in managing activities related to the fulfillment process but are active working leads involved with product fabrication, order preparation, order pulling, collation and packaging, and shipment processing and manifesting. Leads communicate with their teams and make sure that the order process flow smoothly until they are complete. Team leaders are responsible for workflow management, staffing, all administrative staff management issues as well as department budgetary tracking and development.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assists with the management of cohesive workflow process

  • Ensures correct work is flowing through team in an accurate, efficient and timely fashion

  • Communication of production schedule priorities within the team

  • Ensures that production activities s/he is responsible for are consistent with customer needs (due dates)

  • Ensure accuracy & completeness of reporting and data provided

  • Establish (in conjunction with VP of Operations) and analyze effectiveness of production metrics

  • Monitors collection methods, accuracy and reporting frequency for all metrics and data for improvement

  • Assists with accurate & timely collection and analysis of data used to measure process improvement and workflow management against established department metrics (Daily, weekly, monthly and annually)

  • Develops and provide regular status updates to the pertinent personnel and management

  • Models positive and required interaction between Fulfillment & other departments

  • Refine, communicate, and manage to the department policies and procedures

  • Deliver training (new and existing) activities for the department

  • Assist supervisor with performance evaluations


Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of practical lead experience in a print fulfillment or manufacturing environment

  • Previous experience with the shipping manifesting systems and Small Package Delivery carriers (UPS and FedEx)

  • Previous hands on experience with basic print production fabrication equipment like guillotine cutters and steel rule die cutters desired.

  • Strong working knowledge of PC’s and Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to work weekends and Overtime
