We are a family owned and operated mid-sized food manufacturing facility in Santa Clara California looking for a Quality Control Technician.

Position will involve assisting the Quality Manager with day to day activities relating to food safety and quality, record tracking including but not limited to inspection verifications, and ensuring GMP compliance. The QC Technician will perform QC checks, assist with documentation, and support compliance needs.

Responsibilities include (Other duties may be assigned):

· Responsible for verification of monitoring of Preventative Controls and CCPs.

· Responsible for monitoring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process

· Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.

· Works with the QA team to collect environmental samples.

· Responsible for monitoring the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.

· Ensures employees are following all Food Safety, GMP, and worker safety practices.

· Participates in educating employees on food safety and SQF standards.

· Collect product samples for Product Development, lab retains and the laboratory when directed.

· Perform inspections and participate in internal audits.

This position will be in the production area a good portion of the production day, ensuring that production crew adhere to the GMP’s, SOP’s, set procedures and newly adapted changes as needed for production quality control. Will also ensure that the implementation of corrective action by the production associates is done correctly.

Qualifications and Experience

· Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree in food science, biology or relevant science a plus

· HACCP certification and experience (required)

· PCQI certification or experience (preferred)

· Computer skills: MS Office (required)

· Quality Control: at least 1 year (required)

· Experience with inspection of food safety systems, meticulous attention to detail

· Experience with data recording and tracking

Experience with:

- Good Manufacturing Practices

- Product Quality Control

- Internal Audits

· Experience with Food Manufacturing industry required

· Spanish speaking strongly preferred

  • Ensure that our production frontend applications and build pipelines are performant, reliable, responsive, maintainable and of high quality with minimal tech debt.


  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience or education

  • 6+ years in software development

  • 3+ years architecting and building scalable Frontend web solutions using JavaScript, Node, SPA frameworks (e.g. React), HTML, CSS, and other fundamental web technologies

  • Knowledge of API interfaces like REST, GraphQL

  • Ability to maximize performance across platforms

  • Proactively writes clear documentation articulating platform state, architecture, and ideas

  • Broad understanding of different technologies not limited to Frontend (e.g. Docker, MySQL, AWS) within a stack and how each piece works together

  • Experience implementing software development best practices for code management, continuous integration, and automated testing (unit, integration, e2e)

  • Experience working with code and project management tools such as Git, NPM, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence

  • Strong working knowledge of REST APIs and integrating with them, including security and performance considerations

Responsibilities: Work with a talented engineering team on the breakthrough and innovation for solving real-world software problems while identifying and defining key technologies for software development at MineralTree Responsible for software design and development for MineralTree’s financial products and platforms Demonstrate and gain expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures Gain extensive experience in development while performing a variety of complicated technical tasks Collaborate with other teams at MineralTree to accomplish technical and product development tasks Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field Two or more years of experience in a similar role or related area Two or more years of experience with Java, Javascript and related technologies Experience with Angular and React, or similar technologies Experience with building frontend browser based interfaces Understanding of content management, content localization and CDN technologies Familiarity with client-side development for mobile devices Solid understanding of modern design principals, object oriented and functional programming in a client-side environment Experience building and maintaining a multi-tenant SaaS environment a plus Understanding of financial systems, specifically around payments and invoice automation technologies is a plus!
