Must have a good track record of providing a safe and clean processing enviroment, training of sanitors and techs, experienc with swabbing and sampling of the process to provide smooth transition back to the manufacturing operations team from Sanitation.

The AZ plant is approx 200-300 non union and growing and is located within 2-2 1/2 hours from San Diego, Tucson, Phoenix and Palm Springs CA.  Very low cost of living area and the plant is new so it is a dream to clean with the way surfaces have been designed.

This is a strong 20 year client of mine with deep pockets but yet still private. They are beating out the large companies because of their strong quality and lower cost of operation. I've found them their COO, CFO, 2 Plant Manager's, Corp QA Mgr, QA Manager, FSQA Supv, Corp Engineer, Plant Engineer, Warehouse Mgr, Supply Chain Mgr, Corp Purchasing Mgr, and Corp Logistics Manager and other roles as they've been growing.

To tell you how special these people are...  OF ALL of those Jobs I've filled for them.

Every candidate that I set up for an on-site visit, came back and said, "I want to work for these guys"!

That's both rare and amazing and should tell you why you want to work for this group.

Ask yourself these 5 questions:

  1. Do I have a job that I love going to work each day because of company ownership?

  2. Do i have a job that I am an ESOP "employee stock owner" because management thought enough of the employees to create profit share ownership for the employees.

  3. Do I have a job in a company that has lots of upside?

  4. Do I have a Professional challenge with lots of "low hanging fruit" which I can implement previous experience where

  5. Have you developed employees where you can apply that experience to a company that is in the process of doubling in size and will probably again within 5 years or less?

  6. Do I work for a company that values safety and employees first and has customers snapping up our products off the shelf

If you said no, to any of these (And) "you want to make a difference" having access to great outdoor activities for family fun on the weekend, this is a great job you should send me your information to be considered for this six figure career.

What will I do in my first year?

  1. Provide Sanitation leadership, training, coaching, and continuous improvement in a food plant where the employees are seeking "a coach"

  2. Manage a non union operation focused on safety, employee's being valued and application of low cost / Lean practices

  3. Work to maximize the efficient use employees and chemicals / water use etc to create a very clean plant worthy of an award.

  4. Manage your facility by developing your folks to a high level of skill and communication.  cross train

  5. Develop, implement and execute process improvements and enhancements to reduce costs.

  6. Using Metrics, monitor your Sanitation / manufacturing and supporting processes to ensure products are delivered on time and in full at the lowest total cost by conforming exactly to the customer's Quality requirements.

  7. Strive to build upon strong customer service levels and provides appropriate customer support as requested.

Background we seek and expedience

  • No degree required but prefer a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science OR related and food manufacturing related field

  • Sanitation Supervisor currently to move up to Sanitation Manager (or) Manager with experience in Food plant Sanitation

  • Would be nice to be Bilingual in Spanish as a big plus as much of the plant Speak English and Spanish.   A bilingual candidate would favor better in communication with employees.

  • 2 to 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience

  • Food manufacturing experience preferred such as RTE / USDA / FDA or related

  • Preference to local and / or regional candidates first to minimize relocation costs and candidate uprooting for their family ties to the area.

Location

The plant is in great bedroom community of approx 100,000 people with tons of outdoor activities while located close to many other major cities and only a couple hours from the ocean and mountains. You will enjoy the benefits of a city but having low cost and a small town warm feel.  The overall cost of USA living is about 12% below the USA average at approx 88% so your money goes a lot further.

Company Description

Over 100 years ago, a small produce distributing company in Fort Worth opened its doors, selling fruits and vegetables to grocery store and restaurant owners. But, under the leadership of one enterprising individual, the struggling business matured from a simple potato and onion company into the eighth largest major full-service, institutional distributors in the nation. Established in 1906, the company was the Harkrider-Morrison Company and the individual was Ben E. Keith.
"Pioneering is eternal," was the personal motto of the company founder, Ben E. Keith. His and the company's enviable record of success is an enduring testimonial to the basic principles of business, "perseverance and integrity are essential."
