  • Merchandising

  • Brewing coffee

  • Stocking food in merchandisers

  • Running’ inventory between locations 

  • Maintain online inventory with our courier partners 

  • Put together app/courier orders as they are received on an iPad

Purpose of the Position:

To efficiently check a guest in or out of the hotel in a professional and competent manner.

Essential Job Functions:


  1. Has complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often.

  2. List and identify handicapped guests with room number and nature of handicap; assist persons with a disability.

  3. Know how and where to post all charges.

  4. Cordially greet all guests and handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservation when necessary.

  5. Have thorough knowledge of hotel credit and check cashing policies and procedures and adhere to them. Properly handle checks and credit cards received from the guest for payment of hotel charges in accordance with management company’s accounting and credit card policies and procedures.

  6. Cordially handle guest check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and professional manner.

  7. Know and follow cash handling procedures.

  8. Properly receive money from guests for payment of hotel charges and make correct change.

  9. Issue safety deposit boxes to guest when requested, using hotel’s policies and procedures.

  10. Have knowledge of hotel rates and discounts.

  11. Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures- take same day reservations. Should be able to take reservations in approximately 2 minutes. Know and follow cancellation procedures and walk procedures.

  12. Have knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff and hotel services with hours of operation. Give clear directions to hotel facilities for inquiring guests.

  13. Efficiently operate PBX and accurately connect incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner. All calls should be answered in 3 rings.

  14. Comply with all applicable laws.

Marginal Functions:


  1. Assist PBX with switchboard during their breaks.

  2. Report to supervisor when supplies are needed.

  3. Take baggage to guest’s rooms.

Job Knowledge, Skills and other Responsibilities:

Purpose of the Position:

To prepare all of the hot food items for the lunch or dinner shift while ensuring quality, good tasting food and nice presentation from every item prepared.

Essential Job Functions:


  1. Check in and communicate with the Executive Chef or Sous Chef for any verbal or written special instructions, forecast, reservations, and specials of the day.

  2. Complete all prep work related to lunch or dinner. Ex. preparing vegetables, meats, specials, etc. Set up line with the necessary plates, utensils and food items.

  3. Prepare all lunch or dinner entrees exactly as they are ordered. Make sure each plate looks appetizing and has “flair”.

  4. Read and follow recipe cards and specs at all times to ensure product quality and consistency.

  5. Work all stations on the line, window, broiler, ovens, sauté and pantry, as needed.

  6. Label, date and wrap everything.

  7. Adhere to specifications for portion control, food cost control, waste control, spoilage, rotation, and food requisition.

  8. Complete daily cleaning schedule. Observe all sanitary working conditions at all times.

  9. Make sure station is clean when leaving shift (i.e. the grill, broiler, french fryer, stainless steel counters, etc.

  10. Clean out coolers by rotating, marrying and discarding food where needed to ensure high quality food production.

Marginal Functions:


  1. Assist in other areas of kitchen as requested by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

ABOUT THIS JOB:    The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This includes supervising the pick, packing, and pulling process, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and deliveries of shows for a very fast-paced environment. This position requires supervising employees and ensuring that all employees follow warehouse safety guidelines and regulations. This also requires working closely with other supervisors, managers, and departments.   A global understanding of the company’s model, brand, and methods can be easily trained, but the position requires a base knowledge of the special events industry and production/design elements of Lighting, Audio, Video, Drape, & Staging.      

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:    

GENERAL OPERATIONS 


  • Open and close the warehouse as scheduled 

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations and the quality output of the warehouse 

  • Uphold the integrity of company brand, cleanliness, and presentation of equipment and staff 

  • Communicate expectations and delegate daily tasks, custom orders, and projects to staff 

  • Maintain the security, and integrity of all warehouse equipment while ensuring its safe use and operation 

  • Print and analyze pull sheets, trucking schedules, and custom orders 

  • Close rentals and custom orders on the database as soon as completed 

  • Make sure that trucks are loaded and unloaded safely

  • Solve problems as they materialize   

SHIPPING & RECEIVING 


  • Supervise the pick, pull, and packing of orders and rentals, and ensure efficiency and quality

  • Supervise the receiving of shows, rentals, and purchased orders · Organize, track and monitor event equipment as it moves inbound/outbound to/from events

  • Report any missing or broken gear to Inventory Manager 

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT  


  • Assist during the performance of inventory counts 

  • Assist Management and supervise stocking and supplies re-ordering for all warehouse divisions

  • Supervise shelving and storage areas regularly and make sure the equipment is placed where designated  

INTER-DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATION 


  • Maintain accurate and effective communication to guaranteed clean hand off of completed and pending responsibilities/duties between warehouse shifts

  • Communicate with the office staff and field crew effectively via email and phone

  • Communicate regularly with Management regarding pending issues, policy changes, and departmental status   

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 


  •  Supervise standards for conduct, performance, and efficiency for all warehouse employee  

  • Supervise safety, breaks, and performance of staff throughout shift 

  • Promote teamwork, team building, continued training, and staff morale 

  • Report any employee issues and coach as necessary 

  • Train newer staff as needed and make sure that employees have attended or received the proper training for the warehouse   

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:     


  • 1-3 years of previous warehouse management experience 

  • Must have previous leadership experience which included coaching, training, and leading a team

  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed  

  • Should have strong project management and problem solving skills 

  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively in a verbal and written form including strong interpersonal skills 

  • Strong computer and technology skills are required

  • Mac environment friendly

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Email, and database programs

  • Ability to work quickly under pressure, and manage chaos with ease

  • Must have a clean driving record and clearance to drive, fuel,  and manage a truck fleet 

  • Spanish bilingual is a plus

  • Supporting other areas of the restaurant as necessary, such as setup, cleanup, prep work and equipment maintenance

  • Entering orders in the point-of-sale system

  • Operating the cash register, credit card machine, and cash handling

  • Ensuring guests are served quickly, efficiently and in a pleasant manner

  • Demonstrating a positive attitude and providing recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy

  • 1+ year of work experience; preferably in a high volume restaurant or retail environment

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs

  • Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations

  Big Orange Productions is an event marketing and staffing agency currently seeking fresh talent in your area. We have many upcoming in-store demonstrations available for Brand Ambassadors.      

Working as a Brand Ambassador you will:  

• Arrive to your scheduled event on time and well prepared.   

• Dress Code: White long-sleeved button-down shirt, and black closed-toe shoes. You must also wear a black apron and black unbranded baseball cap.  

 • Set-up a sampling product display.  

• Be energetic, outgoing and engaging with customers while offering them free product samples.  

• Drive sales of new product.  

• Complete and submit your event paperwork in a timely manner.  

General Information  

Days: Friday-Sunday  

Shifts: 5.5- 6 hours each 

Contract Rate: Starting at $12/hour     

You will need to purchase sampling supplies during the demo but will be reimbursed. You can also simply run the event as an “educational” demo and tell customers about the product enticing them to purchase. Payout the same either way.      

Working as an independent contractor allows you to pick and choose the events that best suit your schedule. Searching and applying for events has been made easy within our portal.
