Summary

The Part-Time Tasting Room Associate is responsible for hospitality and customer service for all tour and storefront operations. Performs and schedules standard tours as well as private and specialty tours and tastings. Provides support for distillery hosted and private events at the visitors’ center. The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for offering a premium, brand-centric experience for all visitors to the distillery. Supports merchandise sales, inventory and stock management.

Responsibilities

Tour and Storefront Operations:

· Perform routine tours and selling merchandise.

· Educate visitors on the Hangar 1 Brand, production process and vodka tasting techniques

· Specialty and VIP tours for valued accounts, private groups and special guests

· Daily store sales and tour number reporting.

· Support the execution of private events in the distillery event space

· Support the execution of off-site events as needed

Production Support:

· Assist with distillation and distillery maintenance as needed

· Assist with bottling and blending

· Support production staff and activities

Skills/Requirements

· Proven success with prior experience in Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline preferred.

· BA Degree in related field preferred

· Experience with POS inventory tracking systems

· Experience in retail, inventory management or e-commerce

· Excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills

· Microsoft Office expertise

· Must be able to work flexible hours, most working hours occur evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Title:  Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities: 

Deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with PHR Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.  

Ensure proper training and supervision of kitchen and restaurant personnel.  

Pre-meal meeting conducted with service staff on a daily basis.  

Provide leadership and direction to all team members to ensure efficient operation  Monitor timing of guest experience.  

Monitor productivity of service, kitchen and stewarding staff. 

Monitor food and beverage purchasing and critique the quality and consistency of the food product.  

Monitor guest satisfaction and comments regarding food.  

Maintain the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant.  

Conduct Monthly inventories – all food and beverages at the OH and OGH.   

Hiring, training and developing new team members

Complete all tasks assigned by the General Manager   

Requirements:

1 to 2 years work experience in restaurant industry - Certificate, associate degree and bachelor's degree programs is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communications skills   

Excellent mathematical skills 

Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills - 

CPR certification, ServSafe and TIPS Training may be required; employer will provide training, if necessary.  - 

Basic typing skills and ability to operate standard office equipment. payroll, word processing, database management and spreadsheet accounting. 

Functions as designated liaison between the hotels and Squirrel (POS).

The line cook position is responsible for the preparation and plating of all menu items in accordance with the chefs’ direction. This position includes, but not limited to, the ability to read and understand recipes, skill in using a knife, and proper safety and sanitation.

 

These are essential functions and the percentages are estimates only.

75% - Preparation and plating of all menu items

10% - Cleaning of the line and work areas on a consistent basis and as directed by the chef

10% - Keeping line stocked with necessary goods and communicating any shortages to chef promptly

5% - Preparation of base items, i.e. sauces, portioning goods, ingredient processing, etc.

Individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and must be able to demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the position.

In addition to performing the essential functions, this position may be required to perform any combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function solely at the discretion of the department manager, which may be based upon the particular requirements of that day.


  • Deep cleaning projects

  • Prep cook duties

  • Perform any and all other duties asked of you related to the operation of the restaurant

Maintain regular and prompt attendance in conformation with company standards and policies. Employees with irregular attendance may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Consistent time and attendance is essential to the successful operation of the department. Maintain a professional demeanor with co-workers and guests at all times. Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance at all times. Report to work in a clean and complete uniform. Due to the seasonal nature of the restaurant industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to accommodate the business needs of the restaurant upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with the Tastes on the Fly SF rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of its business. Employees who violate these rules and regulations may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

To be eligible to work in our airport locations, candidate must pass a U.S. government, 10-year criminal background check and TSA security threat assessment.

Six months’ experience as line cook in fast paced high volume environment or promotion from prep cook


  • Any combination of education, training and work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Successfully pass an extensive 10-year criminal background check conducted by the FBI.

  • Successfully pass computerized employment testing and in-person interview

Job Requirements


  • Must be 18 or older.

  • Must be willing to obtain a food handler card.


  • Be available for at least two lunch shifts from Monday to Friday.

Job Summary

The Production Assistant is responsible for contributing to the successful daily operations of a multifaceted catering business. This includes, delivery & set up of orders, on and off site production support, customer service, inventory, organizing, and other tasks around the shop,    The position requires good communication skills, an ability to handle stress with grace, superior organization skills, customer service skills and a desire to work as part of a great team.     

 

Responsibilities

Onsite event support (running forgotten items, loading in/out / delivery food and equipment to onsite servers) 

Packing and loading of equipment

Driving a commercial box truck and minivan

Devilering and setting up food & equipment onsite 

Communicating with all departments to insure product gets onsite safely

Errands and other odd jobs to support the operation of the company

 

 

Delivery and set-up of catering orders—client contact necessary, good customer service skills essential.

 

 Requirements   

Able to work cooperatively with co-workers and take instruction well 

Must be reliable, hard working, proactive & organized

Must be accountable and consistently on time 

Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change and work in a fast paced environment 

Previous catering or food service and/or retail experience a plus but we will train

Valid drivers license and no DUI’s Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time

Must be able to lift 50 pounds properly and comfortably

Possess a California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certification 

 

 Pay is $15/hr to start
