An Urban Winery Crafting Age-Worthy Wines since 1996 Dashe Cellars is a family-owned artisan winery located in the heart of the Urban Wine Country. After 15 years in Oakland's Jack London Square district, Dashe Cellars has moved to Spirits Alley on the old Navel Airbase in Alameda, CA. Founded by the husband and wife winemaking team of Michael and Anne Dashe, Dashe Cellars crafted its first vintage of Dry Creek Zinfandel in 1996. Since that time, the Dashe’s have focused on producing exceptional, single-vineyard wines using a traditional, non-industrial approach to winemaking. Early in their relationship, Mike and Anne dreamed of blending their passion for winemaking with their love of the San Francisco Bay Area. In a somewhat controversial decision at the time, they bypassed the bucolic scenes of lush vineyards for a warehouse in Jack London Square. They simply believed that people shouldn’t have to travel to wine country to taste exceptional wines. With that belief still top of mind, Mike and Anne are committed to creating wines that reflect the unique soil, climate, and regional characteristics of their vineyards. To attain these goals, Dashe Cellars uses traditional and “natural” winemaking techniques, including small-lot fermentation, the use of indigenous yeasts, and little-to-no fining or filtration.

JOB SUMMARY The ideal candidate will have experience delivering superlative customer service, combined with a track record of achieving sales goals. This part-time essential team member works as an integral part of winery sales and hospitality staff. As we reopen the winery following the CA mandated shutdown, there will be several stages leading to full opening. These are subject to change based on County restrictions as well as winery logistics. 1. In conjunction with Food Truck service, the SF City View Patio will be open by reservation only on Saturdays until we are able to expand service.  2. When allowed, the tasting room will reopen. This will be by reservation only and each tasting will be a semi-private seated tasting lasting 45 minutes.   At each stage of reopening, Tasting Room Associates will participate at each touchpoint within the guest experience. This includes but is not limited to: greeting and seating, table service, sanitation, as well as wine sales and Wine Club signups. The welfare of our staff as well as our guests will be paramount during this time. Masks will be required by all (with the exception of guests while they are at their table with wine and food) and sanitation stations will be readily available. With the help of our team, we can make Dashe Cellars a place where people can come to social distance and find relief in daily doldrums of pandemic life while ensuring the long-term viability of Dashe Cellars through sales, promotions, and maintaining and growing our Wine Club.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Develops positive relationships with customers and prospective customers · Executes ongoing and evolving DTC strategy to maximize sales volume · Strives to meet or exceed club membership conversion goals · Operates POS terminal accurately and efficiently · Participates and assists with special events both onsite and offsite · Greets guests as they enter the SF Patio and seat them at their pre-assigned table · Table service of bottles of wine, glasses, and flights of three Dashe Wines · Actively promote take-home bottles sales and delivery of purchased wine to their table · Sanitation of materials between guests including tables, collateral, and stemware


QUALIFICATIONS  · Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and success-driven · Outgoing, energetic, and willing to go the extra mile · Able to work within a team environment · Available to work most weekends, and nights and holidays as needed · Must be over 21, able to lift 50lbs, and stand for extended periods of time This is a part-time position with a competitive compensation structure, including commissions on wine club signups, and an attractive bonus program.  Please submit your resume including a cover letter and references.
