We are looking to hire fun instructors to lead group "painting parties" in South Bay & Peninsula, primarily on weekday afternoons & weekends. Paint the Town is a mobile art studio that delivers these parties to guests at home, office, and restaurants. Check out our site to know more what we do: https://paintthetown.us/services

You can set your own schedule and take on as many or as few events as you'd like. Our engagements are intimate (typically 10-20 guests), and our clientele are friendly and respectful. You'll have fun while also developing interpersonal skills and meeting different people. The ideal candidate is charismatic and reliable, with great communication and painting skills.

NOTE: We host these private events only by request of customers, so this is a gig-based job and there is no guaranteed schedule or number of events. That said, most instructors average 3-4 gigs per month.

COMPENSATION: $100 per event (2.5 hours), plus 25 cents per mile driven. Hourly rate is $30/hour for more than 2.5 hours spent onsite. Tolls and parking are reimbursed. Any tips earned are yours to keep.

ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Need a car, in order to drive to events between Redwood City and San jose

  • Have most weekdays free, from 1-7 PM to take parties (Tues-Friday)

  • Must be 21 or older, as you might be in the presence of beer and wine

 

IDEAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Reliable and responsive. Punctuality and communication is a MUST

  • Outgoing and charismatic; able to engage with people individually and in large groups

  • Proficient at painting with acrylic. Preferably a Fine Arts student, but self taught is also accepted

  • Great communicator (in English). Must be able to break down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-understand steps

  • Patient and calm in stressful situations (e.g. loud groups, tough customers)

Overview


The Amusement Manager will be responsible for the profit of the arcades and cranes through effective management and control of staff and equipment. S/he keeps the games in “ideal playing conditions.” S/he is involve with cash handling, ensuring that the deposit bag balanced at the end of every shift, refilling machines when required and assisting with promotional ideas. The Amusement Manager is also responsible for excellent customer service, problem-solving and implementing all company policies and procedures.


Essential Duties:


· Achieve sales goals through the efficient execution of Company policies.


· Assist customer and perform minor repairs on various machines without the assistance of mechanic on duty


· Explains game operation or rules to customers, and responds to customer complaints of machine malfunction.

Role Summary:
Supporting the Film Music Licensing team in all aspects of music clearance and licensing for 15-20 motion picture releases annually along with the expanding slate of original programing for Dreamworks Television, and associated marketing campaigns. Attention to detail and excellent organization skills are required.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Assist with music clearance through to completion of licensing and payment, including: reviewing scripts to identify music and/or lyrics requiring clearance; researching music ownership; securing and negotiating music quotes from labels, publishers and music libraries; tracking rights, monitoring music budgets; maintaining and reviewing clearance reports; collecting and reviewing song credits; and ensuring accurate legal delivery of music clearance documentation.

  • Populating and manage song information in the Rights Clearance system

  • Maintain a tracking system for all phases of the licensing process, forward licenses received to in-house personnel for review & execution, follow up on all outstanding licenses and distribute copies of finalized licenses & payments to Legal Files

  • Draft master use, synchronization and performance licenses, as needed

  • Organize and maintain film project files, retrieving and sending files to archiving center



Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
• Music clearance experience with an understanding of publishing and recording rights including, for example writer / territory splits, samples and side artists and the effect they have on clearance.
• Knowledge and understanding of copyright (publishing & recording) as it relates to the music industry.

Overview


The Bowling Manager is responsible for the sales, profits, staffing, image and operation of the bowling/karaoke department. S/he will be responsible for the administration of business goals in revenues, expense, profitability, and customer satisfaction and employee morale for these departments.


Essential Duties:


· Responsible for the sales and profit projections of bowling/karaoke department.


· Meets or exceeds sales goals through the efficient execution of Company policies and procedures.


· Be consistently on the floor to provide personal sales support and trouble shoot store.

  • Strong operational skills with focus on great time management.

  • Previous experience in retail/restaurant or customer service environment required, previous experience in management preferably of a bowling or game center highly desirable.

  • Ability to lead by example

Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the planning, development, execution and coordination of marketing campaigns and activities to build and sustain NBC Entertainment show brands throughout their multi-platform lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Be an authority on assigned shows/brands and serve as a hub of information

    • Know storylines, casting, key production info, scheduling, etc. Monitor performance/health of the show, research, ratings, press, insights, social commentary, digital platform viewing and metrics.

  • Monitor viewership trends, the competitive landscape, marketing trends, social trends and consumer behaviors. Support the application of these insights to the development of cross-platform and digital marketing campaigns.

  • Collaborate with and manage agencies of record in the development of situation analyses, initial positioning and marketing strategies, launch briefs, audience targeting, promotions, programs and partnerships, etc.
    • Collaborate with the senior and cross-functional teams to further enhance and finalize cross-discipline strategic approach: including launch briefs and audience targeting


  • Track status and progress of plans and/or campaigns, including monitoring timelines and calendars and encouraging everyone towards the agreed upon goals.

  • Support and represent the lead brand contact as needed with other internal NBC Entertainment departments (e.g. Publicity, Sales/Creative Partnerships, Programming and Consumer Products) and external partners and help integrate and coordinate plans.

  • Participate in weekly/daily creative meetings to stay up to speed with planned and developing creative content (print, digital, video), ensuring it aligns with the relevant strategies and targets. Human Resources:



  • Extend job offers to candidates considered for employment at the store level.

  • Develop a diverse, high-performance team by coaching, counseling and mentoring.

  • Monitor store staffing on a daily basis to ensure each department is adequately staffed.


 


Auditing:



  • Audit refunds and/or credits against itemized sales from the previous day.

  • Audit cash drawers and transactions.

  • Audit and track special events.

  • Create Daily Audit Report with sales information and auditing discoveries for executive management.

  • Research problems discovered during audits.


 


Safety, Loss Prevention, and Procedural Compliance:



  • Administer IIPP procedures, Safety programs, and procedures.

  • Assist with curbing internal and external theft.

  • Support the achievement of employee safety and loss prevention objectives via all available media, (i.e. monthly meetings, one-on-one counseling).

  • Ensure satisfactory maintenance, appearance, and condition of assigned facilities to comply with security, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances.

  • Enforce compliance with all local, state, federal regulations and company policy pertaining to safety and loss prevention.

  • Comply with all OSHA requirements.


 


Non-Essential Duties:



  • Contributes to improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in-store processes.

  • Assists in the research and development of resources that create timely and efficient store workflow.

  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Executive Management.

  • Maintains store IIPP and OSHA records.

  • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.

  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to Executive Management for a solution.

  • Maintains good communication with all workers including outside contacts.

  • Complies and maintains the confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.


 


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree from preferred but not required.

  • 3+ years of GM management experience in team building, sales development, strong operational skills within a fast-casual theme concept.

  • Superior customer service skills.

  • Strong verbal communication skills supported by a pleasant and positive attitude of “can do” success.

  • Ability to gain, demonstrate, and coach with operation knowledge.

  • Ability to plan activities, set goals, effectively manage time and work.

  • Shows the ability to consistently contribute to the overall improvement of the team.


 


Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center/arcade environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.


 


Physical Demands:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces. The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 100lbs with assistance is required.

Role Summary
NBCU Digital Entertainment is looking for a motivated Sr. Director Data Science & Analytics that can deliver results in a fast-paced environment. As the VP of Data Science & Analytics, you will lead all Data Science and initiatives for the organization. You will play a key role in providing thought leadership and actionable insight for the group. This is a highly visible role that will work closely with multiple levels of leadership within NBCU Digital Entertainment.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Help hire, manage, and lead a team of Data Scientists and Analysts. Provide business analysis and insights on new growth opportunities in digital media with a focus on digital advertising, consumer products, and digital video streaming in broadcasting, cable, film, news and, sports.

  • Lead Data Science & Analytics initiatives for the team. Provide forecasting, revenue modeling, predictive analysis, A/B testing and data science for stakeholder teams.

    • Partner closely with digital strategy, finance & business development team to gather requirements. Build models to analyze ROI on TV content licensing deals and guild / residual / participant cost models for various levels of content exploitation.

    • Create predictive models to support various digital TV entertainment forecasts and financial budgets including detailed forecasting of digital video metrics by series, season and episode, video starts, view-through, segment starts, minutes watched, ad impressions and average unique viewers

    • Analyze and create predictive models to support financial analysis of NBCU video performance on social platforms such as YouTube, Facebook Twitter and Instagram.

    • Provide predictive analysis, A/B testing and data science for stakeholder teams. Continue to raise the bar and improve existing prediction models for digital TV entertainment specific issues such as optimizing MVPD authentication rates.



  • Apply feature engineering and a deep understanding of the TV digital entertainment business to help optimize digital video recommendation engines and personalization algorithms on both ad supported and subscription supported video streaming platforms.

  • Partner effectively and earn trust with stakeholder teams. Take ownership of priorities and ensure that the team deliver results on time. Develop a deep understanding of KPI's that affect each group. Provide entrepreneurial guidance based on findings.

  • Create presentations and communicate findings in regular weekly/monthly presentations. Help present in Digital Weekly Data Meeting.

  • Create, define, and document processes and analyses. Help drive data governance initiatives within the organization.



Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
• BS/MS from a quantitative field from such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics. Master's Degree or higher preferred.
• 7+ years of applied experience in Data, Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering and/or BI.
• 5+ years managing teams of data professionals
