The John Chamberlain Archive is currently seeking a full-time Archivist.


This position is designed to help with on-going research and projects necessary to the creation and functioning of the archive. Projects will vary, from short-term needs based on request from external parties, to long-term projects based on internal operations. This position is full-time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and based on Shelter Island.


On-going duties include:


●      Collect and process documents, publications, imagery, film, exhibition catalogues, ephemera and other materials on a project and as-needed basis


●      Digitize and rehouse materials when needed


●      Regularly update Collections Management System (CMS) and Digital Asset Management System (DAM)


●      Assisting in implementing best practices and setting priorities for collection management, processing, and work descriptions


●      Fact check essays, manuscripts and internal generated materials


●      Conduct research for exhibitions and publications


●      Report to and work alongside team members, including Chief Archivist and the Estate’s Executive Directors


●      Assist with the development and maintenance of effective storage & back-up systems for digital assets


●      Contribute to research for setting up temporary and long-term archival storage (shelves, flat files, cold storage)


●      Conduct image research to facilitate the creation and enforcement of appropriate standards and procedures to ensure successful search results, including metadata standards for keyword tagging and file naming


 


Qualifications:


●      MLA or MS in Library or Information Sciences, or comparable experience working in artists’ archives


●      Demonstrated experience managing archives, databases, content management systems, digital asset management systems


●      Working knowledge of FilemakerPro preferred


●      Excellent written and verbal communication skills


●      Self-directed with the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment

East End Pediatrics is a 3-pediatrician private practice, located on Long Island, in East Hampton, New York. We are looking for an additional physician to join our practice, which has been serving “the Hamptons” for the last 30+ years. Family-centered practice cares for patients from birth to age 23 years. Provider will work 4 weekdays and every 4th weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Will share call/weekend coverage with other members of the group- on call 1-2 nights per week and every 4th weekend. Outpatient position at single office location; no hospital admissions, rounding, or well-baby nursery coverage. Urgent care-type visits provided in the office during early mornings, evenings and throughout the day. Procedural skills such as suturing, splinting and I&D preferred but not required. CLIA certified lab in office, X-ray on site. Integrated mental health services (psychiatrist and 5 part-time social workers), part-time dietitian. 


Our practice has a diverse patient population, 50% Medicaid and 50% private insurance, large Hispanic population. We have been using Office Practicum, a pediatric-specific electronic medical record for 12 years, and our practice is unique in our use of 10 on-the-job trained bilingual scribes who work closely with each doctor before, during, and after each visit. Staff of 3 nurses to give vaccines. Dedicated to continuous quality improvement.  Our community has a large Summer population, in town to visit the Hamptons on vacation- the office experiences a large increase in volume during the summer months. Office is minutes from the beach.
