Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver materials to the customer, which includes assistance with unloading, ensuring delivery of ticket with material, and collecting payment, if necessary

  • Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests as necessary

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor

  • Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations

  • Assist Warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material.

Job Requirements:

  • A background in Warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is preferred.

  • A valid CDL is required. 

  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

  • Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it

  • General computer skills

The SF Marin Food Bank is comprised of a dedicated team of approximately 150 staff working collaboratively to provide close to 50 million pounds of food to over 210,000 people in the Bay Area – a region where 1 in 4 people are at risk of hunger. We are currently looking for a Temporary Holiday Driver to help in our Holiday distribution efforts of our organization. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Responsible for driving/warehouse duties as assigned, pick-up and delivery food items in box trucks. The position requires someone who will work a flexible schedule.


  1. Deliver and pick up holiday barrels for throughout San Francisco County using an upright hand truck/dolly.

  2. When dispatched pick up donations and barrels. Deliver to brown bag sites and to locations with home delivered groceries.

  3. Complete all driver’s logs and DVIRS as required.

  4. Receive, weigh, document and process data of food drive barrels and donation boxes.

  5. When not delivering or picking up barrels perform all daily warehouse duties including handling of product, operation of warehouse equipment, inventory of product and supplies, sanitation, volunteer activity coordination, and shop floor assistance.

  6. Organize product flow and storage to maximize space efficiency and maintain the highest level of safety standards.

  7. Assist Lead, or Supervisor with volunteer projects to increase warehouse efficiency by performing such duties as, sorting or repacking product, product movement, cleaning projects, and equipment maintenance. Insure a positive volunteer experience.

  8. Accurately complete all necessary paperwork for daily closing, inventory audits, transfers, invoicing, dump logs, and temperature logs.

  9. Contribute to the safety and maintenance of all equipment.


  1. Flexibility to work changing schedule.

  2. High School diploma or equivalent.

  3. Ability to lift up 50 pounds.

  4. Valid California driver’s license.

  5. Experience in driving a 16’ bobtail (cargo) truck.

  6. Experience using an upright hand truck/dolly, and flatbed push carts (forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks a plus).

  7. Use basic math skills to maintain accurate transactions.

  8. Basic computer skills.

  9. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in the warehouse.

  11. Ability to work and interact well with individuals (staff and volunteers) from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds in a culturally diverse environment.

  12. Knowledge of the geography of San Francisco County.

The Community Supervisor is responsible for implementation of the Pastimes Program, which involves instructing, training and supervising clients in community-based activities. 


• Implements program curriculum and activities in the community.  

o Transports clients to the agreed location 

o Attends activities as stated on the client schedules 

o Assists the clients in paying any fees for activities (if necessary). May have the monies for the week/month and are required to provide the client with the day’s needed funds. 

o Assist the clients in building relationships with other participants in the community  

• Transports clients when necessary to and from activities in the community (Requires personal vehicle, mileage paid)

• Participates in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes 

• Implements and documents progress of relevant Person-Centered plans /objectives

• Communicates with Pastimes Coordinator regarding client needs or barriers to integrated goals 

• Maintains accurate daily records, including client attendance and specific activities 

• Reports, documents and maintains records of all client incidents, accidents, and seizures 

• Has emergency information on all clients at all times 

• Is responsible for the health and safety of each client 

• Completes Special Incident Reports, as needed  

• Adheres to the Health and Safety practices in the workplace. Follows all rules, regulations and use of emergency procedures as set forth in the Health & Safety manual.  Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area
