Do you really want to work for a corporate “big-box” grooming company?

Mudpuppy’s is a locally owned dog-washing and grooming business which has been operating in the Bay Area for over 17 years. We wash and groom thousands of dogs every month, and are proud of our platinum reputation. Please go to mudpuppys.com to learn more about us.

We are currently seeking an experienced Pet Stylist to add to our team in San Francisco.

Mudpuppy’s is a fun place to work, and our client base is large and growing. We offer a distinctly different grooming experience for our customers’ pups. We have no “back rooms,” and no cage dryers. We also offer quick service, i.e., our customers don’t have to leave their pup at a shop for the entire day. These features have made Mudpuppy’s a popular and growing brand in the Bay Area.

Applicant requirements:

  • Must own tools (clippers, shears, blades, brushes, etc.)

  • Be able to complete five to seven grooms in eight hours.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Professionalism, decorum and efficiency in an often very hectic (and wet) environment.

  • A genuine love of dogs and experience handling them.

  • Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, abilities, and handicaps.

  • Friendly, personable and upbeat, and attracted to teamwork.

To apply, please submit the following:

  • Cover letter explaining your interest in working at Mudpuppy's

  • Resume

  • At least three work-related references.

Applications that do not include these three components will not be considered.

Tales of the Kitty is looking to add to our team. If you have a heartfelt love for cats and are committed to excellent customer service this may be the perfect job for you!

Would you like a flexible schedule? If so, we want to hear from you. If you like to get out early and get things done, or you’d rather have your days to yourself and work in the evening we want to hear from you. If you’re happy working any time of day, we want to hear from you. (Visits happen from early morning through evening, every day of the year.)

This position is part time and varies from day-to-day depending on client demand. Schedules often change at the last minute so flexibility is a must. We are busiest on weekends and holidays, however there are visits every day of the year. This position is great source of supplemental income but should not be relied on as the sole source of income as there is no guarantee of work.

As an employee, all applicable taxes will be withheld from your paycheck as required by law. Compensation is on a per-visit basis. All of our employees are bonded and insured through our company, and therefore go through a detailed background check prior to being offered a position with our company.

If this sounds like the job for you, please send your resume, along with a short letter telling us about yourself, your goals, your experience with animals, your availability (days and hours), and why you think you are right for this position.

Thanks and we hope to hear from you soon!

Calling all pet lovers! Heaven Sent Pet Care, a professional dog walking company (serving Evanston, Wilmette, and Kenilworth) is currently looking for dynamic, caring, and trustworthy pet lovers to join our expanding team. We offer flexible, long-term positions -- this is an enjoyable way to make some supplemental income!

We are currently hiring for a part-time DAILY DOG WALKER and will be thorough in finding the next good "fit" for our expanding team. If you love to spend time outdoors, are a self-starter, and are able to work independently and manage a changing schedule, this may be the job for you!

Our "Daily Dog" walking services are typically performed Monday through Friday between between the hours of 10am-5pm. (Our busiest time frame is between 11am-3pm).

We do private visits/walks for our clients. We never do "pack walks" (walking multiple clients dogs at a time)

Our fees:

The rate walkers are paid ranges between $6.92-$8.50 per 25 MINUTE visit (equivalent averages to around $13.84-17 per hour).

Flexibility!

Unlike with dog-walking apps, our walkers have a set route of clients and can count on how much work they will have. We work with each walker to find a route and time frame that works with their schedule. (It is our preference that walkers have some availability Monday-Friday during our weekday business hours 10am-4pm)

Consistent and predictable work!

Typically, we will start out walkers with a shorter route and build up the route as we are able and as the walker is comfortable. Most of our current walkers complete between 4-8 visits daily.

Administrative support!

We provide a professional work environment. This is a supported position and we are office staffed from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday for any questions or help a walker might need.

We also have emergency contacts for walkers, if an issue arises after business hours.

We offer continuing training and tips for new walkers to become successful in this industry

Qualifications

Is this a good fit for you? We are looking for candidates who:

Are organized, dependable, trustworthy, timely, and professional.

Have great customer service and communication skills.

Are team players who can handle last-minute changes and requests from clients.

Are able to work independently and responsibly.

Enjoy being outside in all four seasons and the weather that comes with them! (Rain, snow, heat, cold, wind...)

Can make at least a 6-month commitment to working with us. We view dog-walking as a career choice and do not often hire just seasonally or temporarily. The dogs (and their owners!) get attached to their walkers and sitters!

Love Animals! You don't have to have any animal work experience, but we find it is helpful if you have at least had pets of your own before.

You need to be at least 21 years old, able to pass a background/criminal check, and have at least 3 references.

You need to have excellent dog-handling skills and intuition to walk and control dogs of all sizes and breeds. You also need to handle the activity level of walking dogs for 2-6 hours per day (you choose the amount).

You need to have: (1) a reliable insured automobile and a valid driver's license (2) a computer with access to the internet, (3) a printer, (4) a working cell smartphone (preferably with texting).

Because Heaven Sent does not compensate for travel time/commute, it is best if you live in or near one of our service areas (Wilmette, Evanston, or Kenilworth).
