EnCorps STEM Teachers Program’s vision is to realize a day where all students, regardless of socioeconomic status, are inspired and prepared to pursue their dreams. STEM Teaching Fellows transition to teaching careers within 1-3 years with the support of EnCorps training, guest teaching field experience, credentialing guidance, EnCorps cohort and the EnCorps network of schools. When you become an EnCorps Fellow, you are committing to providing access to quality education within low income schools, supporting students who need your mentorship the most.

The EnCorps team will provide guidance as you begin the process to become a teacher and the broad network of fellows provides first hand experience from people who, like you, transitioned into a teaching career.

Fellowship details:


  • Fellows may choose a licensed or non-licensed teaching pathway. If licensed, they will earn their license from a university partner over the course of 4-14 months

  • EnCorps will place you in a local partner school for 1 semester where you will spend 2-5 hours per week as a volunteer Guest Teacher

  • Fellows train online/on-demand and at 3 in-person cohort events each year by participating in enhanced skills preparation workshops

  • Fellows receive extensive support and mentoring from the EnCorps staff, their cohort, and EnCorps’ network of schools

  • With the help of EnCorps, you will develop your unique timeline to become a paid teacher, in as little as 9 months, or 3 years depending on your personal goals.

Minimum requirements:


  • Have a bachelor's degree 

  • Have at least 1 year of hands-on STEM industry work experience or have an advanced degree in a STEM field*

DevOps facilitates software development and deployment by utilizing automation and providing efficient and convenient solutions for challenges of scaling development efforts across teams, languages, and cloud environments.


 


Our DevOps team:


  • Streamlines multi-language software development by providing tools and templates to solve common challenges of Continuous Integration


    • We support C++, Python and Scala, and also work with Go and Rust

  • Develops a modern continuous deployment platform with cutting-edge technologies (containers, cluster schedulers, service mesh, dynamic secrets provisioning)

  • Minimizes toil by automating configuration via codification (Terraform is one of our main instruments)

  • Works with product development teams to help them adopt the platform and best practices (we maintain some of the "core libraries" product teams rely on)

  • Performs research and evaluates new technologies to meet the most advanced demands of our product teams (e.g., delivering large, versioned data sets to applications running on Kubernetes)

    The Cloud DevOps engineer will support the T-Rex Centers of Excellence in researching and creating technology lab projects to support technical innovations in cloud and DevOps.  There will also be solutioning support for competitive government proposals and support in designing solution graphics and writing technical volumes.  The Cloud DevOps engineer will also be required to provide briefings on our DevSecOps approach and experience to new and existing customers.   The Cloud DevOps Engineer will also leverage their comprehensive cloud expertise to support T-Rex’s program execution across a number of federal agencies and work programs as required. We require an innovative thought-leader who can help our customers solve some of the most pressing and difficult advanced cloud problems that have ever been addressed in the Public sector.


    Duties:



    • Assume a technical role in the administration and management of infrastructure solutions

    • Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, from code commits to production using Jenkins

    • Support legacy technology migration to the cloud (familiarity with IBM/Oracle products a plus)

    • Support a SAFe/Agile team to integrate/implement the infrastructure for containerized/microservice platform, offering core capabilities such as decoupled services, workflow orchestration, and event-driven automation

    • Use  IAC technology to deploy, troubleshoot and customize cloud resources

    • Provide solution support for proposal efforts

    • Deliver customer briefings

    • Provide innovative and efficient technology solutions using cloud-based tools and DevOps practices

    • Serve as an escalation path for the IT department staff for troubleshooting and IT inquiries

    • Learn/Research new technologies

    • Train IT department/staff

    • Tier 3 and full-stack debugging


    Required Skills:



    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience

    • Strong communication / collaboration skills

    • Cloud certifications from Amazon, Microsoft, or GCP preferably DevOps related

    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure testing strategies (CloudFormation/Terraform/ARM Templates)

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to be external facing

    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience

    • 3+ years specifically operating and managing enterprise cloud infrastructure

    • Knowledge of  enterprise cloud user, security, and networking configurations

    • Experience with containerization tools (Kubnernetes, OpenShift)

    • Experience managing enterprise scale solutions that leverage the following AWS Services: EC2, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, Route53, IAM, STS, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.

    • Experience coding and scripting using one or more of following programming languages Python, Java, Javascript, PHP, Bash, Shell, and Node.js.

    RESPONSIBILITIES



    1. Build and maintain monitoring systems and software for verifying successful delivery of advertising content across our network.


    2. Monitors currently running ad campaigns and takes steps to resolve any issues with successful delivery.


    3. Works with development teams to optimize delivery and budget consumption on campaigns.


    4. Build and maintain forecasting systems and software to prepare for future large campaigns.


    5. Build and maintain analysis systems and software to review completed campaigns for lessons learned.


    6. Coordinates with project management to schedule needed work on production systems into future sprints.


    7. Coordinates with sales teams to give a clear picture of upcoming availability and inventory.


    8. Ensuring that tasks and other key system information are documented and centralized in Asana (project management tool) and Confluence (documentation tool).

    7. Strong SQL background - you will be writing queries into our MariaDB database


    8. Strong NoSQL background - you may be writing queries into our realtime databases


    9. Experience with a language (probably scripting) for tool building. Typescript/Node is preferred but not required.


    10. AWS background - you should be very familiar with Cloudwatch and DynamoDB.


    11. Data visualization knowledge is a PLUS.


    12. Advertising background is a PLUS.


    13. Experience using Asana software for project management and Slack for instant messaging and basic files sharing is a PLUS.



    EXPERIENCE



    1. 4-6+ years of relevant software development or operations work experience is a prerequisite.


    2. Past experience in a startup, software company or advertising company is a PLUS.

    Overview:


    The ideal candidate shall have experience developing, integrating, and implementing Cloud based Data Lake and Data Analytics solutions with capabilities such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP).
