Minimum Qualifications:


  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field related to the job, plus three (3) years experience related to the job.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated professional experience in data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, systems analysis, or policy analysis

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, synthesizing, and communicating both quantitative and qualitative data, including performance measures

  • Knowledge of City of Austin, state, and federal statues, ordinances and codes relevant to social services, housing, planning and related domains

  • Knowledge of methods for research, cost/benefit analysis, statistical analysis, and financial modeling

The client is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to research and create new models to improve securities evaluation and maximize performance. The job:


This person will join our close-knit team of Engineers, Data Scientists, and Researchers; collaborating to build systems that use data to make responsible investment decisions based on state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms utilizing massive datasets. Members of our engineering team have wide discretion in how they solve problems and have a large degree of autonomy in architecting and implementing solutions. While interest in finance is a plus, prior financial experience is not necessary.


Primary responsibilities:



  • Conduct research and statistical analyses in the evaluation of securities

  • Work with large data sets, including unconventional and proprietary data sources, to detect patterns, create narratives, and inform decision­ making

  • Conceptualize new ways to exploit information, develop and continuously improve mathematical models, and translate algorithms into code

We're on the search for an experienced Data Scientist to join our ranks. This position will partner closely with our data engineers and analysts to build powerful decision algorithms which put our clients miles ahead of fraudsters in the SaaS space.

This role will use feedback from structured and unstructured data sources to design, test, and ship sleek and effective algorithms and machine learning models to be used by teams across the product, fraud, and finance spaces.

The ideal candidate will have a background creating automated decision-making products which have a direct impact on the end-user experience. They should understand human behavior and know how to translate that knowledge into flexible, intelligent business solutions.

This position will be responsible for:


  • Collecting structured and unstructured data from disparate data sources to build more complete views of customer and threat actor behavior
