We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. Administrative Assistant responsibilities include making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. If you have previous experience as a Secretary or Executive administrative assistant and familiarity within our industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

Maintain contact lists

Book travel arrangements

Submit and reconcile expense reports

Provide general support to visitors

Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients

Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers

Skills

Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant

Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines

Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

Attention to detail and problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Communicate confidential test reports to client via phone, fax or email.
* Filing and scanning documents.

PLS—which stands for People – Location - Service—is a leading retail provider of alternative financial services.  The PLS Group, headquartered in Chicago, is comprised of over 230 financial service centers in 12 states.  Through our check cashing, lending, and our PLS Auto store, we provide consumers with convenient financial products and services to help them manage their day-to-day financial needs. Although many of our customers have banking relationships, we believe that our customers use our financial services because they are more convenient, transparent and frequently more affordable than available traditional alternatives. PLS was founded in 1997 by Bob and Dan Wolfberg, who serve as Co-Presidents.


Position Overview: 

Successful Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are the primary point-of-contact with our customers.  They are the “face" of PLS.  As such, they are accountable for delivering superior customer service.  They also sell company products and services.  The CSR is accountable for maintaining company standards of quality and complying with all policies and procedures. 

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Providing outstanding customer service to ensure repeat business

  • Promoting our products and services to current and potential customers

  • Ensuring all transactions are completed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Following company policies and procedures

  • Maintaining a balanced cash drawer

  • Completing all transactions accurately, including cash handling

  • Using multiple computer applications to access information and process transactions

  • Resolving customer complaints or referring complaints to the Store Manager for resolution

  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean environment

  • Performing other duties as instructed by management
