Job Duties:


  • Product quality control, including presentation

  • Product inventory and ordering

  • Adjust and maintain order pars as needed

Basic Requirements:


  • 1-year kitchen supervisory experience

  • Proven staff management skills

  • Basic knowledge of food and labor costing

  • Flexible schedule (location is open from 4am - 11pm)

  • Ability to multi task, problem solve and work well under pressure

Develops and maintains catering accounts and client relationships by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • The Catering Coordinator is responsible for working as a member of a cohesive operations team supporting the Director of Catering and sales team, as well as the General Manager to enable perfect event execution. This individual functions as a support to the Event Manager and Captains, as well as sometimes acting as a junior sales specialist when business levels are high. The Catering Manager maintains a positive, “win-win” attitude, always working to improve the execution and timeliness of their team.

  • Ensuring all event information in CaterXpert from the sales team is up to date and fully detailed prior to event/deadlines.

  • Review event floorplans, day of supervisor packets, pack lists and rental equipment to ensure all information is current and correctly distributed.

  • Responsible for communicating SRCG procedures, standards and expectations to all event staff when on-site. They will be responsible for communicating all pertinent event information to the culinary and operations teams and for completing the day of supervisor packet for use on site.

  • Assisting in the setup and execution of events

  • Ensure that event rentals have scheduled deliveries and pickups that are convenient for specialist or venue manage

  • Maintain calendar of events through Outlook and attend all necessary event meetings and conference calls.

  • Communicate with sales, culinary and booking staff, as needed, to ensure understanding of menus and client need

  • Responsible for the collection and submission of all payments and deposits as it relates to contracted events. They are responsible for ensuring that these payments are on time and responsible for reviewing the weekly AR report and correcting any discrepancies and/or collecting any late payments.

  • Responsible for nimble trouble shooting and determining the best judgment calls when a quick decision needs to be made.

  • Managing a staff, holding them accountable for their work and disciplining as needed.

  • Follow up with photographers post event to request event photos

  • Act as first point of contact for general leads and gather as much detailed information as needed

  • Keep accurate log of event inquiries and distribute to specialists as needed

  • Process event closeouts on following day of each event

  • Send out nightly event reminders to internal staff

Position Summary:

Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Job Description:

The Head Chef & Kitchen Manager is responsible for the good food, staff performance, cleanliness and efficiency of the Bette's To Go kitchen, which serves 600+ take away meals a day. They are the primary person responsible for preparing all food for lunch service (salads, special sandwiches, pizza dough, frittata, etc.), with assistance from other kitchen employees.

They will maintain our standards of fast and friendly service, while working closely with manager of front of house around food handling, food presentation, as well as personnel and operational issues. They will also coordinate food usage and purchasing with Diner Kitchen Manager. Promoting a spirit of teamwork and cooperation among staff is a priority.

Responsibilities:

Food

- Makes sure that staff follows recipes and approved methods so that food is consistent in appearance and taste

- Write weekly menu of special sandwiches, salads, soups and pizza

- Improve and update recipes as needed

- Create new, seasonal specials

- Determine prep list for the staff every morning - Inventory food and order additional supplies while controlling food costs

Personnel

- Hire, orient, train and supervise kitchen staff in preparation of all food

  In addition to shelter, one of the other basic services Raphael House offers is food – providing three fresh home-cooked meals per day and over 25,000 meals each year. Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room, and bag lunch food is provided for the noon meal. (A nutritious snack is prepared every school day throughout the year for the children who participate in the Raphael House after School Program.) The dining experience – including food for holidays and special events – is integral to the experience of community and thereby helps to provide a foundation for the success of all the Raphael House programs. The On Call Kitchen Cook (OCKC) will work closely under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager (KM) doing daily upkeep and work in expected kitchen operations. The OCKC will work side by side on some projects with the KM and supervised on others. The OCKC must be flexible to work any shift, any day which could include weekends, nights and holidays. (Breakfast Shift 5:30-11:30PM, Dinner Shift 12:00-8:00PM)   

SPECIFIC DUTIES:  


  • The Chef will get work assignments from the Kitchen Manager, who will be your direct supervisor. 

  • The Chef can be assigned to work any of the two main areas of our kitchen operation; Breakfast Schedule or Dinner Schedule.
