  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and report any concerns to the Kitchen Supervisor.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum two years of prep or line cook experience.

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality required, schedule flexibility determined by business needs.

  • Able to follow directions.

  • Take responsibility for duties assigned and complete them with accuracy.

  • Commitment to quality service.

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.

  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.

  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

  • Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.

  • Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy.


Skills/Aptitudes:



  • Able to work in a high-energy and demanding environment.

  • Works well under pressure.

  • Able to identify and properly address problems with equipment and work environment.

  • Able to take direction.

  • Able to learn and follow work guidelines based on Health Department, OSHA and ADA regulations.

  • Able to learn the proper use and safety requirements of all kitchen equipment.

  • Must have or obtain a Food Handler's Card.

  • Must be able to maintain a high level of sanitation/cleanliness in areas.


Working Conditions:



  • This position will spend 100% of the time standing.

  • Behave professionally and can be flexible in a changing environment.

  • The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 70 pounds regularly.

  • Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.

  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, lift Carry, Push, Pull, Climb, Bend, and perform other general duties.
