Ashley's Playhouse is a magical drop-in childcare center in northwest Austin for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We believe that childhood is a unique and magical stage of life and that children learn best by doing what they love - playing! Therefore, we are looking for a manager that will help our staff and children enjoy their time playing safely. The main duties of our manager include interacting and communicating with parents, directing and training staff, and the number one duty is to make sure the children are having fun and staying safe while at Ashley's Playhouse. Additional responsibilities include changing diapers, making meals and snacks as well as light cleaning.  

We are looking for a part time day manager, who is energetic, loves working with children, and encourages staff to grow professionally. Our day manager works during the week as well as every other Saturday.  Previous experience working at a licensed daycare center is a plus. Previous experience working with Procare is a plus, but not required.

 Ashley's Playhouse is a magical Drop-In Childcare Center in Northwest Austin. Ashley's Playhouse is a Drop-In Childcare center for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We believe that childhood is a unique and magical stage of life and that children learn best by doing what they love - playing! Through purposeful play, children develop intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally. As such, we have filled our center with activities that engage the child's imagination, encourage teamwork, and stimulate their natural curiosity to understand and explore the world around them. Our caregivers help greet children when they arrive and help them feel comfortable while they are there. They play games with the children, do arts and crafts with them, and read stories to them. The caregivers number one job is to make sure the children are having fun and staying safe while at Ashley's Playhouse.

Experience working with children and a love for children is required. Experience working in childcare/daycare is a plus, but not required.

We are looking for caregivers that are comfortable and have experience working with infants and toddlers. As well, we are looking for full time ongoing employees, who are energetic and love children, to start as soon as possible.

Join our talented team, where we inspire children to be lifelong learners! Through our play based curriculum, our affectionate and loving staff ensures that our children are imparted with the knowledge to succeed.


 


The Teacher helps the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing the daily program for children, supervises the class when the Lead is out of the room, helps with meals, safety and assists in maintaining a clean and orderly room and Center.  May be assisted in the classroom by an Aide/Assistant Teacher.


 


Job Responsibilities:



  • Are caring, compassionate and love what they do! 

  • Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards. 

  • Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.

  • Supervises the classroom, according to the plans of the Lead Teacher when the Lead is out of the room.

  • Attends all staff training sessions, meetings and programs sponsored by the Center, as required.

  • Helps with meal and snack preparation, feeding children, modeling table manners at family style meals. 

  • Performs other related duties as requested by a Lead Teacher or Center Director


 


Job Requirements:



  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

  • A High School diploma or equivalent

  • Coursework or a degree in early childhood education or child development or a CDA

  • The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience

  • Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
