The San Francisco Giants and Tastes on the Fly today officially opened the first San Francisco Giants restaurant outside of Oracle Park in Terminal 3 at San Francisco International Airport. San Francisco Giants Clubhouse brings the Giants experience to United Airlines travelers with a unique ballpark-inspired menu, a wrap-around digital wall and Giants memorabilia.

We seek a team player with a minimum of two years upper management experience in a full service, restaurant facility, who has demonstrated excellent organization, follow through and team leadership. We offer competitive pay, bonus and a benefits package, including growth opportunities.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • PEOPLE MANAGEMENT! Supervise a staff of approximately 30 including servers, bartenders, hosts and bussers

  • Provide coaching and positive leadership and support to staff, fostering a real TEAM environment

  • Guest relations and heavy hands-on floor presence

  • Train new hires as well as conduct continuous training for current employees

  • Understand and enforce provisions of our IIPP and ensure all safe work practices are followed at all times

  • Foster company philosophies and guest first service culture.

  • Ensure quality and availability of products being ordered, stocked and sold.

  • Ensure only correct and consistent products are served to guests

  • Maintain and conduct inventory

  • Ensure superior cleanliness of restaurant and adherence to food safety and sanitation guideline

  • Administrative duties including employee documentation, cash counts and daily logs

  • Understand, follow and enforce company policies, procedures, steps of service, union contract provisions, morale initiatives etc.

  • This position reports directly the General Manager

Skills we are most interested in:

  • Must be able to effectively manage people, time, tasks, paperwork, products, safety and sanitation.

  • Managing our staff effectively requires knowledge of our company handbook as well as the union contract. Management style should be proactive, positive and mentoring. While discipline and policy enforcement come with the territory, the most successful managers are always fair and consistent with discipline and coach staff performance positively to avoid the need for discipline. Must be able to maintain professionalism at all times.

  • Strong candidates will also have good written communication skills for administrative tasks and a healthy amount of regular documentation needs. Experience with union employees a plus. Aloha experience a plus.

The Head Chef & Kitchen Manager is responsible for the good food, staff performance, cleanliness and efficiency of the Bette's To Go kitchen, which serves 600+ take away meals a day. They are the primary person responsible for preparing all food for lunch service (salads, special sandwiches, pizza dough, frittata, etc.), with assistance from other kitchen employees.

They will maintain our standards of fast and friendly service, while working closely with manager of front of house around food handling, food presentation, as well as personnel and operational issues. They will also coordinate food usage and purchasing with Diner Kitchen Manager. Promoting a spirit of teamwork and cooperation among staff is a priority.

Position Summary:

Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

General Responsibilities:

  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.

  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.

  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.

  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

  • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.

  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.

  • Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.

  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.

  • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.

  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

  • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.

  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.

  • Report to managers when something is broken or needs repair

  • Keep a clean, stocked and tidy workspace.

  • Follows state health official’s guidelines on the proper storage and preparation of food, specifically raw animal products.

Reports to: BOH Manager.


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.

  • Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment.

Certification: Food Handler’s Certification

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Position requires employee to stand approximately 90-95% of work hours.

  • Ability to use both hands in repetitive and non-repetitive motion for up to 8 hours per day.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and to carry loads of up to 35 pounds over moderate distances.

  In addition to shelter, one of the other basic services Raphael House offers is food – providing three fresh home-cooked meals per day and over 25,000 meals each year. Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room, and bag lunch food is provided for the noon meal. (A nutritious snack is prepared every school day throughout the year for the children who participate in the Raphael House after School Program.) The dining experience – including food for holidays and special events – is integral to the experience of community and thereby helps to provide a foundation for the success of all the Raphael House programs. While receiving excellent nourishment, families discover – sometimes for the first time – the value of sitting down at a table and sharing a meal together.   

The On Call Kitchen Cook (OCKC) will work closely under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager (KM) doing daily upkeep and work in expected kitchen operations. The OCKC will work side by side on some projects with the KM and supervised on others. The OCKC must be flexible to work any shift, any day which could include weekends, nights and holidays. (Breakfast Shift 5:30-11:30PM, Dinner Shift 12:00-8:00PM)   


  • The Chef will get work assignments from the Kitchen Manager, who will be your direct supervisor. 

  • The Chef can be assigned to work any of the two main areas of our kitchen operation; Breakfast Schedule or Dinner Schedule. 

  • Tasks will include baking, roasting and braising of meats, preparing soup, sauces, stock, starches and vegetables. 

  • Maintains a clean work area and follows all local, state and federal health standard guidelines. 

  • Complies with portion sizes, quality standards, and departmental rules, policies and procedures.
