Join our award-winning team this winter and summer for a true Alaska adventure! At Within The Wild Adventure Company, we believe in quality in all things we do and this is especially true in our kitchens. In our fine-dining kitchen, we prepare our foods from scratch, we use local Alaska products as possible, grow seasonal gardens, and serve innovative and exciting cuisine to both our guests and to our staff.
This position involves cooking for dog-mushing and heli-ski guests in the winter and cooking for our guests and staff of 15 people in the summer. The position runs from now until mid to late September. It is a great way to see Alaska and meet incredible people that work at the lodge.
Chefs in our kitchens are professionals who work closely together as a team to create seasonal menus that are some of the most innovative cuisine being served in Alaska.
Winterlake Lodge is a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World. It is located one hour northwest of Anchorage along the Iditarod Trail, at the entrance to the Alaska Range.

Our positions require potentially a little recreational culinary teaching (i.e. sociable interaction) with our guests and working in our lodge kitchen preparing cuisine for our guests and staff. We work approximately 10-12 hours per day... Our cuisine emphasizes global inspiration utilizing local products.
