Car Rental Company servicing International Airport and surrounding areas is looking for motivated professionals to join our team.


IMMEDIATE OPENING: Full time preferred, but Part Time may be considered. Varied work week may include day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays.


JOB DESCRIPTION: Car Rental Service Agent is responsible for maintenance, care and cleanliness of rental fleet. This will include cleaning vehicles, inspecting vehicles for damage or maintenance issues, and transporting vehicles to vendors as directed by management. Service Agents may be called up to assist with transporting customers to and from the rental center.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, with a CLEAR DMV record; must be physically able to perform duties (may require sitting or standing for long periods, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting up to 45 pounds), work is performed outside in all types of weather.


JOB DUTIES, include but not limited to:



  • Clean vehicles by hand, brush or operate washing equipment


  • Dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body by hand


  • Vacuum and clean interior


  • Perform deep cleaning on interior of vehicle, including shampoo and stain removal as needed


  • Perform vehicle inspection and note any damage or major cleaning issues


  • Check fluid levels (washer fluid, gas, oil, water, antifreeze, etc.) and fill as needed


  • Perform maintenance check of vehicles (antenna, under the hood, inside and outside of vehicle, trunk)


  • Inspect vehicles and report any cosmetic or structural damage


  • Verify that vehicles are in possession of license plates, and registration stickers, etc.


  • Report any known safety or maintenance issues to management to ensure customer safety


  • Maintain inventory of supplies and notify management when supplies will need to be ordered


  • Maintain cleanliness of washing bay and secure equipment at the end of the day


  • May assist with transporting vehicles to vendors and assist with receipt of vehicle deliveries


  • Possess knowledge of vehicle safety practices, basic safety requirements for working around cleaning supplies and chemicals, as well as road rules and facility regulations


  • Assist Customers with Carrying/Lifting Luggage

Job Title: Vehicle Services Attendant


Department: Vehicle Services


Summary: Performs vehicle cleaning in a Car Rental facility. Refuels and cleans interior of rental return cars. Performs inspection of cars for damage not detected earlier. Checks fluids like windshield washer, checks tire pressure, etc. Performs other tasks as directed by the Lead, Supervisor, Manager and/or designated person.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


Prior to moving/working on vehicles, inspects all vehicles for damage. Notes scrapes, dents, etc. that were not caught and reported earlier. Immediately notifies Supervisor of the damage so that proper reporting and investigation can be accomplished.


Carefully drives vehicles in gas pump and carwash areas avoiding other vehicles and workers who will be present.


Checks fuel gage and refuels vehicles if necessary.


Removes and disposes of all trash left in vehicle interior and trunk area.


Vacuums vehicle interior floor, seats, etc. and trunk/hatch area. Removes, cleans and replaces floor mats if necessary.


Inspects all compartments (glove box, center console, door pockets, overhead eye-glass compartment, visors, etc.) for customer-forgotten items. Cleans and/or vacuums these areas.


Immediately reports to the Supervisor anything of value left behind by the last rental car customer. (Items of value include but are not limited to cell phones, money, personal items, etc.)


Cleans interior of windows, inside mirror, dash, plastic door panels, kick plates, door thresholds, door frames, etc.


Applies air freshener if necessary.


Makes appropriate record-keeping entries associated with the processing of each vehicle.


Operates cars through carwash as required.


Based upon the type of problem discovered, marks vehicles with proper annotation, (preventative maintenance, out of service, body damage) etc. as necessary.


Cleans vehicles in the order directed, concentrating first on high-demand ones as determined by Supervisor.


Avoids “horse-play” with pressurized air hoses, water hoses, spray bottles, etc.


Safely operates vehicles while observing speed limits and slower reasonable speeds in the presence of pedestrians, obstacles tight clearances, bright sunlight glare, darkness, etc.


Properly wears the uniform.


Keeps busy and efficiently performs assigned duties throughout the work shift.


Maintains contact as necessary with supervision seeking direction as needed from the appropriate authority.


Constantly looks for and suggests improvements to the processes to enhance safety and increase productivity.


Promptly reports all injuries, no matter how minor, and accidents to vehicles or equipment breakage, etc. to Supervisor.


Provides accurate information for the completion of incident and accident reports.


Assures proper clocking in and out of only his/her own time card.


Notifies Supervisor or Account Manager when they will be unable to work and acknowledges that “no call, no show” is subject to disciplinary action.


As a good steward, uses time, equipment etc. in proper manners.


Other duties may be assigned.


Education/Experience:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Experience performing routine automobile cleaning and servicing desired.


Language Ability:


Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.


Reasoning Ability:


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no unacceptable variation in performance.


Work Environment:


The employee may be exposed to fumes and airborne particles as well as hot engine components. Employee must be constantly aware of potential burn hazards and take additional precautions to avoid contact with hot surfaces, etc. The employee is constantly exposed to work near moving vehicles and use caution to avoid injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Restricted access areas like under seats, present hidden hazards. Because a large part of the job is outside of vehicles, employee will be exposed to temperatures that are uncomfortably cold to extremely hot as well as occasional rain, wind with blowing dust, etc.

As a Car Prep Agent you will provide world class service to customers at our location.

This includes:

Supporting achievement of location sales and margin goals by working closely with staff and Location Manager on assigned tasks and duties or projects.

Ensuring a positive customer experience by cleaning and servicing rental cars for customers of Avis-Budget Group.

Rental Agents


As a car rental agent, your work would generally include:


-dealing with customer inquiries about the availability and cost of vehicles


-taking bookings and explaining the terms of rental or leasing agreements


-completing paperwork with the customer and taking payments


-showing customers to their vehicle and pointing out any bumps, scrapes or special features


-checking mileage and inspecting for damage when vehicles are returned


-providing ongoing service and sales support, if you deal with regular business leasing accounts


Skills, interests and qualities


To be a car rental agent, you must have:


-Driver's licence 


-excellent customer care and communication skills


-a basic understanding of cars


-sales skills


-the ability to deal with complaints in a professional manner


-good organizational and time management skills


-accuracy and attention to detail


-administrative and IT skills


-basic math and cash handling skills


-the ability to work under pressure


**Training will be provided to the right candidate.
