Car Rental Company servicing International Airport and surrounding areas is looking for motivated professionals to join our team.


IMMEDIATE OPENING: Full time preferred, but Part Time may be considered. Varied work week may include day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays.


JOB DESCRIPTION: Car Rental Service Agent is responsible for maintenance, care and cleanliness of rental fleet. This will include cleaning vehicles, inspecting vehicles for damage or maintenance issues, and transporting vehicles to vendors as directed by management. Service Agents may be called up to assist with transporting customers to and from the rental center.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, with a CLEAR DMV record; must be physically able to perform duties (may require sitting or standing for long periods, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting up to 45 pounds), work is performed outside in all types of weather.


JOB DUTIES, include but not limited to:



  • Clean vehicles by hand, brush or operate washing equipment


  • Dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body by hand


  • Vacuum and clean interior


  • Perform deep cleaning on interior of vehicle, including shampoo and stain removal as needed


  • Perform vehicle inspection and note any damage or major cleaning issues


  • Check fluid levels (washer fluid, gas, oil, water, antifreeze, etc.) and fill as needed


  • Perform maintenance check of vehicles (antenna, under the hood, inside and outside of vehicle, trunk)


  • Inspect vehicles and report any cosmetic or structural damage


  • Verify that vehicles are in possession of license plates, and registration stickers, etc.


  • Report any known safety or maintenance issues to management to ensure customer safety


  • Maintain inventory of supplies and notify management when supplies will need to be ordered


  • Maintain cleanliness of washing bay and secure equipment at the end of the day


  • May assist with transporting vehicles to vendors and assist with receipt of vehicle deliveries


  • Possess knowledge of vehicle safety practices, basic safety requirements for working around cleaning supplies and chemicals, as well as road rules and facility regulations


  • Assist Customers with Carrying/Lifting Luggage


  • Transport Customers to and from Rental Car Center



SALARY: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour

As a Car Prep Agent you will provide world class service to customers at our location.

This includes:

Supporting achievement of location sales and margin goals by working closely with staff and Location Manager on assigned tasks and duties or projects.

Ensuring a positive customer experience by cleaning and servicing rental cars for customers of Avis-Budget Group.

Supporting and servicing accounts (body shops, car dealerships, etc.) by picking up and delivering cars and representing Avis-Budget Group to customers of the accounts.

Maximizing margins by assisting with rental car upgrade presentations and car cleaning/servicing in the most expedient manner.

Protecting company assets through adherence to company policies and procedures.

Providing support for the branch's overall sales focus and processes.

Cleaning and servicing vehicles to current audit/quality standards to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This includes: no visible external dirt, inside is vacuumed and no trash from previous occupants, seats are clean of debris and stains, and fuel tank is full.

Cleaning and servicing site facilities to ensure professional appearance and positive customer service. INCLUDING COUNTER AREA, WAITING ROOM, GARAGE, EXTERIOR, AND/OR RESTROOMS.

Contributing to Avis-Budget Group's improvement process to discover new and more efficient ways to run our business and deliver the right products and services to our customers, along with more efficiencies and lower cost. Responsible for:

Greet customers professionally and prepare the rental agreement.

Complete daily lists and report to the Supervisor and Headquarter.
Maintain and update rental agreement files.

Qualifications:

Friendly and have good communication skills.

  • Moving the vehicles from the return lane to fuel with gas.

  • Move and park cars in different areas of the lot depending on lot organization.

  • Thoroughly vacuum and clean interior dash, center console, windows, carpet and seats.

  • Thoroughly wash outside of vehicle, wheels and wheel wells and do final inspection of vehicle to ensure no check engine lights are on, the gas is full, windshield wiper fluid is full and the line is connected.

  • Once the car is clean and inspected the porter will then wipe the lights and wheels with Armoral and park the car back on the ready line to be rented out.

  • Any other task required to maintain daily operations of the branch and the business


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Candidate must speak English,- bilingual candidates are a plus.

  • Must have a valid drivers license, and be able to pass a drug test prior to and at anytime during employment.

  • General mechanical knowledge of motor vehicles is a plus

  • Highly motivated and coach-able

  • Willing to advance within the company

  • Self starter attitude

JOB DUTIES, include but not limited to: 



  • Reservation Processing and vehicle returns


  • Inform customers of rental policies


  • Review contract and invoice with customers to ensure accuracy


  • Verify customer qualification


  • Answer customer questions regarding local amenities and attractions 


  • Meet sales goals by selling upgrades and optional products


  • Assist in resolving customer service issues


  • Assist Customers with Carrying/Lifting Luggage 


  • Transport Customers to and from Rental Car Center


  • Assist customers over the phone


  • Perform vehicle inspection and note any damage or major cleaning issues


  • Perform daily inventory


  • Vehicle prep prior to rental


  • Office Administrative Support


  • Filing of contracts and other documentation


  • Maintain cleanliness of lobby and rental counter



SALARY:  $12.00 to $20.00 per hour BOE, plus opportunity to makes lots of money in bonuses.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Moving the vehicles from the return lane to fuel with gas.

  • Move and park cars in different areas of the lot depending on lot organization.

  • Thoroughly vacuum and clean interior dash, center console, windows, carpet, and seats.

  • Thoroughly wash outside of vehicle, wheels and wheel wells and do the final inspection of the vehicle to ensure no check engine lights are on, the gas is full, windshield wiper fluid is full and the line is connected.

  • Once the car is clean and inspected the porter will then wipe the lights and wheels with Armoral and park the car back on the ready line to be rented out.

  • Any other task required to maintain daily operations of the branch and the business


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Candidate must speak English,- bilingual candidates are a plus.

  • Must have a valid drivers license, and be able to pass a drug test prior to and at any time during employment.

  • General mechanical knowledge of motor vehicles is a plus

  • Highly motivated and coach-able
