We are looking to hire baristas for our newest location in SF (Daily Driver) on  2535 3rd St., to prepare and serve beautiful coffee to the people; and we need your help to do it. We are currently hiring for both part-time hourly positions and will report to our Cafe Manager. Daily Driver hours are the following: Wednesday - Monday 7 AM - 3 PM, closed on Tuesdays. In the role of Barista, your responsibilities would include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have strong customer service skills, enjoy interacting with diverse groups of people, be dependable, reliable, and have a strong interest in coffee. You should also be able to work various shifts, including weekends. Note: This position’s compensation includes $16.00/hr + tips

Ultimately, you will ensure we provide an excellent experience for our guests.

Responsibilities/Duties:


  • Greeting customers as they enter, strong customer service skills is a must

  • Answering customers questions regarding the drink menu and ingredients

  • Educating customers on our drink menu and making recommendations based on their preferences 

  • Upselling special items and capturing customer order details correctly

  • Prepare beverages following recipes

  • Keep the bar area stocked and clean

  • Ensure brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs

  • Comply with health and safety regulations

  • Maintains a level of calm and patience when faced with stressful situations

  • Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

 

Qualifications:


  • 1+ years of barista experience

  • Knowledge of sanitation regulations - Food Handler / ServeSafe certified preferred

This is a full-time, hourly position working on the Production team, based at Red Bay headquarters in the Fruitvale district in Oakland, and will report directly to our Production Manager. The ideal individual will enjoy being part of a team, possess strong communication skills, and have previous manufacturing or warehouse experience. Our goal is to bring beautiful coffee to the people; we need your to help to do it. Being dependable, reliable, flexible, and managing time efficiently is highly important in this role.

Responsibilities/Duties:


  • Prepares roasted coffee for shipment to retail and wholesale customers

  • Prepares freight shipments for grocery customers

  • Communicates with customer relations and roasting teams to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently and accurately

  • Ensures all orders are packaged in a timely manner to meet shipping deadlines

  • Prints and applies labels to coffee bags for upcoming production needs

  • Support team members as needed to keep production running smoothly

  • Keeps warehouse equipment in good operating order and maintains cleanliness

  • Completes a through cleaning of bins, tables, and general warehouse area and machines

  • Accurately and efficiently blends, grinds, packs, and heat-seals coffee bags

  • Cold Brew coffee production and packaging as needed

Qualifications:


  • Experience working in fast-paced environment ( ideally production, warehouse, or manufacturing)

  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time (this is a physical job)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Can maintain a calm demeanor for the team during peak periods of high volume or unusual circumstances.

  • Genuine passion or genuine interest for coffee a plus.

Job Announcement: R7 Cafe Manager

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced leader who loves people and coffee to oversee operations at our coffee bar in the Castro. The Manager is expected to be an actively involved leader with consistent on-the-floor presence, while spending approximately eight hours/week completing administrative tasks. The leader will also develop and implement strategic systems to support our people and our cafe, and to drive growth. This is a full-time, salaried position based out of the Castro neighborhood in San Francisco; on-call availability for emergencies and troubleshooting is required. The Cafe Manager reports to the Retail Operations Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Cafe Manager assumes final operational responsibility for the cafe. Primary responsibilities include:

Lead a team of approximately 4-6 retail employees, including a Coffee Educator and Baristas. Retail café customers are consistently served delicious coffee to our quality and service standards. Retail cafe is profitable and contributes to the sustainability of Ritual and our communities – both locally and globally. Ritual’s cafe is clean, beautiful and safe, providing both employees and customers with a fun, inclusive environment.

1-2 years experience in a cafe leadership role

Infectious love of coffee and proven experience in Specialty Coffee

Overview

The Bar Lead reports to the General Manager and is responsible for assisting with management of the staff, facilities, revenue, and organization of the day to day operations. Daily Expectations

· Assist with training of new and existing staff

· Align and work closely with General Manager

· Monitor inventory freshness and rotation of beer and food

· Help facilitate breaks

 Souvenir Coffee Co. is a young company looking for passionate and knowledgeable lovers of coffee with a team player attitude. We are hoping to fill the position of PT/FT Barista at our current shop in Albany, CA.  We are looking to add someone with excellent organizational and customer service skills who demonstrates strong leadership in a neighborhood environment.    Responsibilities:


  • Provide excellent customer service and knowledge of coffee to both customers and coworkers, upholding the core values of the company.

  • Coffee preparation (methods: espresso, pour over, cold brew, and batch brewing).

  • Maintain and enforce cleanliness standards, quality control, and customer service.

  • Daily, weekly, monthly shop maintenance (window, wall, trash, coffee bar, office, etc). 

  • Manage and organize stock areas (cups, sugar, lids, and napkins).

Qualifications:


  • At least one year of cafe and/or barista experience.

  • An appreciation of and a palate for good coffee.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal.

  • Great attention to detail and strict observance of deadlines, must work well multitasking.

  • Can foster a fun and hard-working environment.

  • Must be available to work both Saturday & Sunday.

  • Food experience a plus!

Barista Position 

Potrero Hill, San Francisco, CA

Provender is a small neighborhood café / bakery all about friendly vibes, high quality coffee, in-house pastries, and a short list of popular breakfast / lunch toasts. 

We value attention to detail, positive attitude, and great communication skills.   Our ideal barista is someone who is passionate about coffee, and thrives on hosting our awesome customers.  

Espresso and kitchen experience are preferred but not required; all of our baristas receive food and beverage training on-site, and additional coffee trainings with our partners at Linea S.F..  If you’re a beginning barista, you will focus first on the nuances of dialing-in, pulling perfect shots and get on your way to advanced milk handling and art.

 

Duties include:

• Consistently maintaining an inviting atmosphere in our tiny shop. Our customers value a friendly, down-to-earth interaction.

• Working efficiently while communicating well with your teammates. 

• Preparing our cold brew, drip coffee, and delicate loose teas.

• Operating Square POS, Uber Eats, Postdates and Caviar platforms. 

• Becoming well-acquainted with our beans from Linea S.F., how they behave, and representing them accurately to our customers.

• Assisting the cook with light food-prep and, after thorough training, occasionally operating the food-prep station solo.

• Supporting the rest of the team in keeping the cafe running smoothly; This includes keeping your station tidy, clearing and washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, consolidating food items, unpacking and stocking deliveries, and other tasks as necessary. 

 

Shift Availability: 

Part-time

2-5 days per week.

Morning shifts (6:45am – 11:30/12:30)

Afternoon-shifts (11:30am/12:30pm – 4:00pm/6:00pm) 

 

Starting Pay:

$15.59/hr. + tips.

Tips are an additional $4/hr (based on weekly avg.).
