We are looking for a Boiler Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! We are starting on a boiler maintenance contract in the Spokane area, guaranteed hours and good steady work.


Responsibilities:



  • Maintenance and repair of steam boilers and associated equipment. (feedwater tanks, blowdown equipment etc..)

  • Maintenance and repair of commercial and light commercial hot water boilers. 

  • Maintenance and repair of commercial and light commercial hydronic circulator pumps.

  • Combustion tuning, maintenance and repair of commercial burners.

  • Complete and document scheduled maintenance tasks.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum 3 years of boiler & HVAC experience.

  • Work productively with other team members.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Summary: We currently have a 6 am to 6 pm and a 6 pm to 6 am position open.


The primary job requirements are to operate and maintenance high-pressure boiler (under 500 hp), install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, boilers, motors, drives, and electrical systems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assures that work assignments are carried out in accordance with all safety programs, procedures and policies and are completed safely and accurately.

  • Assures that work assignments are carried out in accordance with all quality programs, procedures and policies and are completed in a manner where quality and food safety are not compromised.

  • Understands and complies with all company, city, state, and federal requirements to safely maintain facility grounds.

  • Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment in the facility to ensure proper function and promote efficiency to ensure breakdowns due to mechanical failures are minimized.

  • Ensures that equipment repairs remain functional and are not a contributor to continued downtime.

  • Monitors the high-pressure boiler for safe and efficient operation of manufacturing process.

  • Rebuilds and maintains a wide range of equipment including, but not limited to motors, pumps, agitators, piping, valves, and process equipment.

  • Evaluates needed repairs and compares costs with potential outside services to determine most cost-effective method of repair.

  • Reads schematics and diagrams to accurately troubleshoot electrical, wiring, hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems

  • Documents activities in an organized and accurate manner for effective communication with teammates and other employee owners. (Including Work Orders, PM records, Order Requisitions, Inventory Lists, Parts Requisitions, etc.)

  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of facility.

  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as, grinder and drill to repair or fabricate machine parts and fixtures, and tools.

  • Operates welding equipment to join metal parts, mild and stainless steel.

  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus such as electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

  • Maintains a clean work environment to comply with all GMP and housekeeping policies

  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Education / Requirements:



  • Hold a Minnesota 2nd Class "B" Boiler Operator's License.

  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; Associates Degree in applicable field a plus.

  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.

This position involves performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment. The facility has a high-pressure boiler and a Minnesota 1st or 2nd Class B Boiler's License is preferred.


This is a Monday - Friday, 3rd shift (11:00 pm to 7:00 am), full time, permanent position offering a competitive wage and full benefit package.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Independently performs assigned plant equipment repairs.

  • Independently performs assigned preventative maintenance for equipment.

  • Performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of plant equipment.

  • Performs building maintenance and repairs as needed.

  • May perform electrical repairs of single phase and three phase power distribution components.

  • May perform troubleshooting and repairs of electrical control wiring of equipment.

  • Perform other duties as requested.


Job Requirements:



  • Minimum 3 years related maintenance experience or 2 years of maintenance experience with additional technical training specifically applicable to equipment and plant maintenance.

  • Knowledge of single phase and 3 phase electrical distribution, systems and motors.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls from basic electrical schematics.

  • Ability to use electrical test instruments such as continuity tester, ampere meter, voltage tester.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform complex repairs and machine adjustments.

We are seeking a Boiler Operator / Maintenance Technician to perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems. Both 1st & 2nd shifts available.


 


Responsibilities Include:



  • Safely making general mechanical repairs to production equipment, general electrical trouble shooting, general electrical motor maintenance, and facility equipment (HVAC & Boiler).

  • Operate and maintenance high-pressure boiler (under 500 horse power)

  • Contribute to a collaborative safety culture that drives results

  • Utilize problem solving skills, to maintain seamless production

  • Provide quality products to ensure an exceptional customer service experience

  • Work independently and as part of a crew in making repairs.

  • Fulfill work order and preventative maintenance assignments.

  • Trouble shooting electrical control circuits to power source; i.e. fuse or disconnect.

  • Maintain a clean work environment.


Requirements:



  • MN 2nd Class B Boiler license required.

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in industrial machine repair, or maintenance/mechanical schooling may be considered.

  • Experience in industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity of fluid power systems, pumps, plumbing, and rigging.

  • Work safely and competently with AC/DC current, all voltages to 600 volts, and comply with all safety regulations.

  • Ability to use all shop tools properly, read machine drawings, and weld proficiently.

  • Ability to lift, push, pull heavy product, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
