The San Francisco Electric Tour Company is looking to hire Segway tour guides for our Fisherman’s Wharf and Golden Gate Park locations!

We specialize in leading fun Segway and Electric Scooter tours around the most beautiful city in the country. We are looking for energetic, outgoing personalities that fit into our company culture and who enjoy meeting other people from around the world.

Work Schedule:


  • Part time with some flexibility.

  • Tour guides are scheduled for 2 tours daily and each Segway tour requires a 3 ½ (1 tour) to 7 hour (2 tours) shift.

  • Must be able to work weekends.

  • 4 to 6 days a week depending on availability.

Compensation:


  • Segway Tour Guide rate starting at $18.15 per hour + tips. Rate will be $15.59 per hour during training.

What are we looking for in a tour guide?


  • Must be punctual and reliable.

  • Energetic, and comfortable outdoors in Bay Area wet, chilly and foggy weather

  • Funny, friendly, hardworking with excellent people skills

  • Natural ability of storytelling

  • Ability to take control and manage small groups of people from around the world

  • Interested in sharing the history of San Francisco with other people.

  • Knowledge of San Francisco is a big plus but not required. A love and excitement for San Francisco is much more important to us. (New to the Bay? No problem. As long as you are as excited about SF as we are!) We will provide complete training for all tour guides.

  • Foreign language skills is a plus.

  • Let us know if you have theatrical or comedy experience.

Our training, guest safety and guest courtesy are critical to our success. We want a positive tour experience for our guests and encourage respect for residents and visitors sharing the roads and bike paths in the city.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensure you deliver exceptional Customer Service that is consistent and beyond expectations.

  • Perform assembly and adjustment in an accurate and timely manner, while maintaining integrity of bike.

  • Complete paperwork and logs correctly and completely.

  • Report any discrepancies and follow process to correct quickly and accurately

  • Professional communication with Supervisor(s):

  • Communicate any manufacturers defect, damage or missing parts prior to bike build.

  • Communicate any unusual problems that may need further assistance in order to complete the bike build in a timely manner and with high standards.

  • Adhere to safety procedures regarding lifting and use of tools and equipment.

  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.

  • Notify Management of any suspicious people or situations

  • Loss Prevention maintain accurate cash control and minimize inventory losses**Note: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs dictate.

REQUIREMENTS


  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of all bike building standards for various models.

  • Preferred: Bike industry, retail and/or Customer Service experience.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Warehouse Manager and Chief Assembler works in support of most sales activities. Additionally, the Warehouse Manager will provide functional coverage as required in the areas of order fulfillment, warehouse orders, inventory management, product assembly and repair, and general warehouse organization/cleanliness. The Warehouse Manager position is a full-time, contract position.


 


In partnership with the Sales and Marketing Manager and the CEO, the Warehouse Manager will have primary responsibility to manage day-to-day warehouse functions including fulfilling/assembling incoming orders, warehouse stock replenishment, and warehouse inventory accounting.


 



  • Maintaining warehouse housekeeping duties

Overview We’re looking to hire a professional bicycle mechanic with a passion for growing the riding community and we are in need of someone to take care of any mechanical issues with our bikes within these areas. This is an independent contractor role , and we offer premium rates for maintenance per bicycle. This role's primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance and repairs on Zagster bicycles in a secure operations space. All bicycles will be transported from their racks to this operations space for service. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the assembly, quality control, and deployment of bicycles as they're built Perform routine maintenance and on-demand repairs on all bikes in the fleet Maintain a sense of ownership over the bikes in the fleet and their condition Requirements Basic set of bike tools, and repair experience, ideally including a mobile repair stand and some space to store and work on bikes indoors, as well as ability to do some repairs on site/outdoors. Not necessarily looking for a master mechanic with every tool, but we need someone who can do quality, safe, repeatable work, and hold themselves to a high standard without close supervision. Ability to lift and transport several 40 pound bikes depending on need. Ability to use a smartphone and camera to communicate over phone calls, text, email. Lead Bike Mechanic


 


Rocky Mountain Underground is a Mountain Culture Company founded in Summit County, Colorado in 2008.  We are employee owned and live the lifestyle we try and create for our customers and look for the same passion for the outdoors in all our employees.  


 


In fact, we have a 50 day minimum ski requirement for all employees.  We are currently looking to expand our summer product offerings, specifically our bike service department.  We are searching for a rad experienced bike mechanic to lead our service department. Our Flagship location is in Breckenridge, Colorado where we operate our retail shop and bar.  The lead bike mechanic role is a full time position at our Breckenridge location and will report to the store manager.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Repair, check, and fix bikes up to RMU standards


  • Communicate and explain all needed bike service to customers


  • Complete all bike service in a timely manner and keep customers updated on service status


  • Clearly write all service tickets and notes and keep organized  


  • Keep the inventory of the workshop updated; Keep the workshop clean and organized at all times


  • Be customer focused and personable as you will be the face of the service department


  • Responsible for ordering bike service parts as needed and assist with related bike accessory ordering


  • Tune and service demo bikes as needed and make sure fleet is in excellent condition at all times


  • As this is a new department, you will have large input to the operations and design of the bike service department.  Willing to take ownership to ensure the bike service department is as successful and high quality as our other product offerings


  • Assist with setting up customers with demo bikes


  • Be inclusive to all levels of bikers and enjoy your job
