Delivery Drivers

Our drivers provide an opportunity for our customers to enjoy our delicious pizza right from their home!

Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Must have a clean driving record- no more than 2 points

Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and the restaurant to ensure accurate delivery times.

Must be able to juggle multiple responsibilities and multiple orders, especially when it comes to quality control of food during delivery.

Must have reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as necessary.

 Compensation for all positions includes an hourly amount depending on experience, daily pooled tips, monthly bonuses, company provided meals and drinks while working and employee discounts.

WHO YOU ARE

A highly motivated, food-loving, detail oriented mover & shaker who looks forward to waking up and working hard for a growing local business. This position requires flexibility, patience, and an attentive mind.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Delivery Drivers transport goods. Your daily duties depend on the vehicles you operate, the routes you run and the materials you handle. Delivery Drivers may transport boxes, bags, and/or carcasses. Delivery Drivers are essential for any logistics operations. As a delivery driver you are in charge of successfully taking items ordered from our facility in Santa Rosa to all locations as per daily orders. You will load and organize your route on the morning of delivery. You will perform a double-check of boxes to assure all boxes/bags/carcasses make it onto the truck. You will highlight every order. You will give signed invoices from wholesale customers upon return to office staff. You will know how to operate and drive the delivery vehicle with safety precautions at the forefront. You will check in with office staff to communicate if there are any unexpected delays during your route. 

REQUIRED SKILLS


  • A valid driver's license

  • Knowledge of how to handle materials safely

  • Familiarity with using navigation systems

  • Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule

  • Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving

  • Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo

  • Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck

  • Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries

  • Meeting delivery deadlines

  • Performing basic truck maintenance

  • Tracking shipments and deliveries

  • Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed

  • Reliable, responsible, honest, and punctual

  • Flexible to change

  • Work with a sense of urgency

  • A great communicator with clear writing skills

  • Passionate for local small business and the food industry

  • Desire for collaborative work environment, while able to work independently

  • Able to work in a temperature controlled environment (below 40 F degree)

  • Must be able to stand 8 hours; Must be able to sit 8 hours

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Knowledge of primal and retail cuts helpful

Berkeley-based wine retailer is seeking a dependable driver for weekday deliveries. 

Shifts: Typically 2-3 hrs per day from 1:30-4:30pm.

Days of the Week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. 

Delivery Range: Most deliveries will take place in the Berkeley area but our delivery range covers a 30 mile radius to include Pinole, Oakland, Walnut Creek and all points in between.

Requirements: Must be dependable, courteous, professional, and able to lift up to 40lbs. Applicants must have a clean driving record, a valid CA license and a vehicle capable of carrying up to 12 cases of wine. 

Wine Retail Opportunity: For those with an interest / background in wine, this position can serve as an entry point for retail work in our stores. 

Compensation: $18/hr, mileage reimbursement @ $0.56/mi, tips (small % of deliveries), and staff discount on wine & beer.

The position requires a highly self-motivated and organized candidate with a capacity to multitask and set priorities. Delivery Driver work involves making deliveries throughout Berkeley, areas of the East Bay, Marin, San Francisco and through the Caldecott Tunnel to areas of Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek during a designated delivery window established for each area. 

Days needed: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.

Prior to delivery driving, the position includes the following tasks:


  • Assisting with routing process for daily orders

  • Organizing orders for vehicle packing based on routing 

  • Carefully packing completed orders into company van (currently rented)

  • Making timely deliveries taking into consideration specific customer instructions 

  • Retrieving delivery materials and glass returns from previous deliveries to return to our Berkeley location.

The work is time sensitive, physical and requires stamina. Qualified applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have a clean driving record, 2 years delivery driving experience, map reading and navigational skills, agree to follow company Covid-19 contactless delivery protocols, along with the ability to work with an attention to detail and interact positively with customers and co-workers.

Vehicle: Not required but will consider use of an employee’s vehicle, if appropriate to the task, with mileage reimbursement.

Logistics/Supplies Coordinator Tree Frog Treks is an outdoors science camp for kids, and our warehouse is full of all sorts of supplies for science experiments, craft projects, outdoor exploration, and educational lessons. This warehouse of fun and chaos will become your domain! You will be responsible for communicating with our camp directors about the supplies that they need at camp each week, and packing up these supplies in an organized fashion and transporting them to our camp locations. At the end of the day, you will pick up the supplies and bring them back to the warehouse to unpack and reorganize them.

 

You will be provided with a Tree Frog Treks company vehicle for the duration of the summer camp season, to be used for transportation of supplies.  

A deep love for Nature, Science, and education will support you well in this position!! You will also handle and transport live reptiles! JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong organizational systems and time management skills are a must for this position.
