JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE INTERVENTIONIST OPPORTUNITY INCLUDE:

• Providing 1:1 direct services in the home and community settings

Job Description



  • Provide Direct ABA services to clients (2 yrs-21 yrs) with Autism and related developmental disorders in the home, school, community, and social skills settings


  • Implement ABA strategies to decrease maladaptive behaviors and teach appropriate replacement skills




  • Implement ABA strategies to improve communication, adaptive, safety, and social skills.


  • Provide parent training to families based on the individualized program developed by the supervisor


  • Collect reliable data based on the individualized program developed by the supervisor


  • Attend and participate in monthly clinic meetings


  • This is a part-time 15+ hours a week (90 day probationary period). Potential of growing into full-time status



  • Must be able to work afternoons (3:30 pm and on Monday through Friday) (15 hours or more) Weekend hours are available


 


Qualifications



  • Experience providing Direct ABA in the home, school, and/or community setting (minimum 6 months experience)


  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Communicative Disorders, ABA or related field




  • Registered Behavior Technician preferred

Paid entry-level training is provided, including a 40-hour RBT training that prepares you for BACB certification.


The Behavior Therapist is responsible for implementing the specific ABA programs as written by the Case Supervisor/Clinical Manager. You will have knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, data collection procedures, and play-based therapies (i.e., DTT, PRT, & NET). You must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week.


PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Be a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or in the process of becoming one.

  • Preferred minimum education requirement is a bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field but must have at least a high school diploma/GED.

  • Minimum of 1 year of previous work experience with individuals with developmental delays.

  • Ability to interact in a positive and collaborative manner with fellow staff members, families, and clients

  • Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook

  • CPR Certified

  • Ability to provide evidence of negative TB test results

  • Ability to pass FBI & DOJ Live Scan background check

  • Reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver's license

  • Bilingual Speaker a plus

About the Position


Direct Interventionist / One-to-One Interventionist One-to-One services are provided by staff trained in basic behavior analytic principles and preferably someone with a bachelor's degree in the studies of Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education or other related fields. One-to-One services are provided to the consumer to address skill deficits and behavioral excesses using a variety of behavior analytic strategies. These services involve interacting with the consumer, implementing intervention plans, keeping ongoing data and adjusting contingencies to affect targeted behavior positively.


Qualifications



  • Conduct themselves in a professional, responsible and reliable manner

  • Possess a valid driver's license, have access to reliable transportation and have proof of automotive insurance

Responsibilities:



  • Work with children in their homes, helping them learn how to communicate, play and learn!

  • Learn directly from Board Certified Behavior Analysts how to provide therapy to children and family in need of support

  • Visit our client’s homes where you’ll follow and use the plans from Board Certified Behavior Analysts will create and supervise behavior intervention plans

  • Teach communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, and play skills through Applied Behavior Analysis principles

  • Teach, learn and play with our clients to help them reach their highest potential

  • Accurately record treatment data

  • Engage in and ensure client safety

  • Maintain confidentiality of all clients and professional conduct at all times


Qualifications:




  • You must have your BA/BS completed in Psychology, Special Education, Communicative Disorders, or a related field and 1 year of exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder.

    • If your BA/BS is in progress 5 years of exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder is required.

    • Another option is HS/AA with 2 years of college course completed and 5 years of exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder.




  • Exposure can be personal or professional
    • Exposure to individuals with Autism through family, friends, or work experience is a plus!



  • Your availability can be any of the options below!

    1. Mon-Fri: 8:00am-6:00pm -Option A
