The shift is from 4 pm to 1:30 am, 5 days a week. Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.

The preferred candidate for this role should have several years of professional baking experience including but not limited to dividing doughs, shaping baguettes, baking in a rack oven and a deck oven, scoring sourdoughs, and judging doneness of proofing and baking. This is a highly physical job and the baker must be able to stand and walk during the entirety of the shift and carry 50 pounds. Some packing of bread and pastries is also required and the best candidates should be hyper-organized. Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience milling flour, fluency in English and Spanish and a flexible schedule.

40% of time on production work:

My cousin Brenden and I have been dreaming of owning a restaurant since we were kids. Quite frankly, Brenden loved to cook and I loved to eat...some things never change. We were both born in 1979, 3 months apart, and although Brenden was born first, I was always the good looking one. I grew up in Pleasanton while Brenden was raised in the South...yes this does mean he likes NASCAR (Go Junior) and he looks great in a pair of Wranglers.

I bet at this point, as long as you have not fallen asleep in a bowl of chili, you are wondering how the barbecue came to be. Well, years ago Brenden acquired a ceramic smoker which he swears by, called a “Big Green Egg.” (Ask him about it and he will probably have you buying one before you leave the restaurant). He spent years cooking and practicing the art of the Q in his backyard, eventually starting a competition BBQ team in the Atlanta area. The team scored well in several categories, most notably in the “Most Beer Consumed” category.

While Brenden was perfecting his BBQ recipes, we both took it upon ourselves to spend thousands of hours in different bars and restaurants throughout the country drinking...errrr...researching the art of the cocktail. We even made it to Kentucky to learn how to make a Mint Julep and New Orleans to research...wait what did we research in New Orleans...oh yeah, Hurricanes. Anyway, it was exhausting but rewarding.

In creating Sauced, we really wanted to bring the South to Northern California, so we literally did just that. All the wood and corrugated ceiling in here is reclaimed and shipped in from barns in Georgia and North Carolina. We opened Sauced with the invaluable help of a lot of family (our Wives, Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Children) and friends along the way. Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools. Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Restock bar with liquor and supplies. Transport supplies to bar set-up area. Wash soiled glassware. Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Mop, sweep, clean and perform small tasks. Complete closing duties.


Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure personal appearance is clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Bartender

The Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality of beverage production and service to our Members and guests. In addition to supporting all Club venues, events, and fellow Employee Partners, the Bartender maintains the bar, service areas, and related storerooms.




Responsibilities


  • Follow proper procedures for stocking and cleaning bar area

  • Ensure opening and closing duties are performed to ensure bar readiness at all times





Job Qualifications


  • Previous bartending experience required

  • A working knowledge of bar related beverages, spirits, mixed and specialty drinks, wine and beer

  • Food Handler Card or within 30 days of hire

  • Possesses a passion for exceeding Member expectations and a commitment to excellence that results in providing the highest quality Member and guest experience
