Since our November 2018 Brick-and-Mortar debut, FOB Kitchen has been recognized bythe San Francisco Chronicle, SF Eater and Berkeleyside as Oakland's newest Filipino Hotspot.We specialize in serving gorgeous tradition inspired Filipino food and vibrant Island inspired cocktails in a fun and energetic atmosphere.

-Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role

-Proven customer service experience.-Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff

-Familiarity with restaurant management software & POS systems like Toast, Shogo, Yelp, etc

-Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills

-Acute financial management skills with strategic planning skills for growth

-Knowledge in human resources management and local and state laws

-Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations

-Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

-Deploy ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. events, discounts, ordering from apps, and social media ads)

-Hire, train new and current employees on proper customer service practices-Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations (maintain safety certs, training, manuals, employee training)

-Manage catering program for events + buyouts

-Some Spanish preferred, but not required.

-Promote Winery Clubs and Winery events

-Selling Wine

-Assist with functions necessary for a successful shift -- opening and closing duties, restocking of wines, non-wine items, food items, sanitizing between each guest, cleaning and organization of kitchen area and tasting room(s), glassware cleaning, drying and restocking, assist with periodic duties check restrooms, merchandising areas, setting up tables and chairs inside and out, check garbage inside and outside of building

To mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to our guests of the bar, following standard and Westgate specific recipes. Ensuring guests are well accommodated with a friendly, welcoming and attentive demeanor. Provides suggestions of the menu selection in an informative and enthusiastic manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, and other duties may be


Mixes ingredients, such as juice, liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks

Serves wine and other draught or bottled beer

Collects money or credit card for drinks and food served and provides accurate change if applicable

Helps management with the orders and requisitions of liquors and supplies

Places bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display

May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks

May prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese and cold meats

Complete side work as established prior to next shift

Monitors the guests' condition and informs management. Take appropriate preventative measures.

Complete knowledge of alcohol (wine, beer and liquor)

Seen as a tool for guests and other team members to be able to answer questions about the flavor profiles, specifics of alcohol and pour concentrations

Knowledgeable in the food menu and is able to suggestively sell and provide recommendations to guest.

All opening and closing side work and running side work

Keep bar clean; including but not limited to bar top, glasses, floor, sinks, displays and area within guest's view, etc.
