We are looking for staff members with experience in both coffee, and basic bartending. We are ready to begin training immediately. This is NOT an entry level position. The barista/bartender is the face of service. You will be selling a wide variety of baked goods from doughnuts and croissants to cake-balls and brownies. You will be responsible for tasting all of the items and be able to describe them in detail to guests; suggestively selling and recommending pairings when called upon. You are also directly responsible for the brew and sale of all coffee drinks. In addition to coffee, you will produce a limited selection of alcoholic beverages including an eclectic draft beer selection to our guests. As such, experience in bartending is a plus but not required.

Alpine Hills Tennis & Swimming Club is a Private, Member-Owned facility located in Portola Valley, California. Alpine Hills is offering an immediate opening for a Part-Time Bar Staff.

Position Overview: MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE, 21 & OVER WILL BARTEND.

The Bar Staff will be responsible for fulfilling beverage and food orders in a timely manner, cleaning and organizing the bar, bussing and cleaning all tables in the Alpine Room, Bar and Outside Deck area, restocking the bar and coffee/tea station and interaction with the Members. Working with other Bar Staff to fulfill all job duties before the end of the shift.

Essential Functions:

• Arrive to work on time, in proper uniform and ready to work.

• Professional, polite and prompt interaction with members.

• Hygiene and grooming a must (hair, facial hair, nails, etc.)

• Collect and enter in all Food and Beverage orders from Members.

• Promptly Run food from kitchen to correct member.

• Serve Beverages to correct members in a timely manner

• Bring Silverware to each table with their meal

• When members are finished with plates, step out from behind the Bar and Collect the plates and empty glassware from the table.

• At end of shift, be sure to fill out side work and have signed by Manager On Duty

• Restock coffee/tea station

• Restock non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages

• Restock disposables

• Clean all tables and chairs

• Refill water dispensers

• Wash dirty glasses, buff/dry them and put away

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments (must be available to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

• Must be able to effectively communicate

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction

• Self-starter and Team player

• Must be able to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks

• Must be able to work effectively under pressure

Education / Work Experience:

• 21 & OVER: Must have basic understanding of Wine Beer, & Liquor

The Vig Chicago is seeking experienced, hardworking and dedicated Bartenders to join our growing team.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

● Greets guests in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome.

● Guide guests through all phases of their experience at The Vig.

● Exhibit proper knowledge, service techniques and delivery of Food and Beverage offerings.

● Describe Food and Beverage features on a daily basis.

● Oversee bar maintenance and coordinate service at the bar with fellow team members.

● Work with a sense of urgency at all times to provide anticipatory service which anticipates the guests' needs and appreciates the fine details of service.

● Communicate with management and all other service staff regarding all customer needs comments or incidents.

● Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division and Health Department following all health and safety regulations.

● Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

● Ability to work well under intense time pressure

● Ability for memorize exact recipes and follow proper portioning of ingredients

● Ability to multitask and execute in a high volume atmosphere

● Excellent emotional control in fast-paced environments

● Knowledge of menu items and service procedures.

● Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar

A minimum of 2 years experience as a bartender as well as server in a restaurant environment is required.

Noodle Theory Provisions [NTP] is composed of variations on Asian noodle dishes infused with fresh local ingredients and a California cuisine angle. With our grand opening in early 2016, NTP has been welcomed by hungry Emeryville locals and loyal Noodle Theory patrons from its flagship restaurant in Rockridge, Noodle Theory. With about 3,000 square feet of space and equipped with a full bar, Noodle Theory Provisions offers Happy Hour on weekdays (5-7PM) and an innovative cocktail selection. NTP has also partnered with Caviar to offer local delivery through the Caviar app.


  • We are also looking for a Lead Bartender who can perform all the duties of a bartender and ALSO maintain the cleanliness of the bar, purchase for the bar, update the beverage menus, and train new bartenders. This position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills. A Creative Personality is a Must!

LEAD BARTENDER:

* 2+ years of experience

* Speed, efficiency, accuracy and technique executing craft cocktails

* Strong knowledge of beer, wine, sake, spirits, and classic cocktails

* Ability to multi-task while remaining charismatic and engaging

* Ability to create a strong beverage/cocktail program

* Experience cultivating and maintaining regular customer relationships

* Experience in training new bartenders and bar education

* Experience in Toast or other POS is a plus!
