The Position

The position of Part Time Tasting Room Host reports to the Assistant Tasting Room Manager. The role of the Tasting Room Host is to provide an exceptional level of customer service, wine education and a memorable wine experience for the winery’s guests. The position is expected to carry out and support sales goals, brand and management initiatives.

                         

                       Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by manager.

• Conduct informative wine tasting experiences and tours with ability to display and convey knowledge of wine

• Provides exceptional customer service, offers wine club program(s) and encourage signups

• Promotes sales of wine and specialty merchandise in the tasting room and winery events, on the phone, via e-mail, and occasionally at off-site events

• Communicates effectively with guests in a confident, knowledgeable and friendly manner that conveys our brand image and leads to sales transactions and brand loyalty

• Performs wine service, tastings and wine education in a brand consistent manner.

• Answer phone calls and emails pertaining to tours and book tour appointments as needed

• Maintain retail displays, stock wine and retail inventory and maintain cleanliness of tasting room

• Performs daily opening and/or closing procedures

• Safely operate and drive company vehicles

 

Non-Essential Functions

• Assist with order entry, filing and other clerical duties, as needed

• Ability to safely operate and drive ATV to conduct tours

• Ability to perform duties as delegated by Manager or designee

• Prior retail customer service and/or Tasting Room experience preferred

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Valid driver's license with the ability to become and maintain status of Authorized Company Driver

• Ability to operate and drive various company vehicles to assist with tours and events as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Working knowledge of wines/ winemaking is a plus.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

The Wine Club Associate provides an exemplary service experience to all guests and Wine Club (WC) members whether on-site, in person, or by email or phone. They provide onsite ATV and Walking tours and set the tone for club member or guest experience. This position requires superior communication and guest service skills contributing to a culture of accommodation, second to none. This position will be responsible for anticipating customer needs and developing a service relationship with each guest, including facilitating reservations, sales, service & follow-up communications.

The Wine Club Associate will also act as support for management and assist with key on-site wine club functions – including relationship management, acquisition programs, and retention efforts that help grow our club as well as drive consumers to each of our tasting rooms (Hahn Estate & Carmel). The candidate must have strong wine knowledge, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and proven customer service skills. The individual must also be creative, highly energetic, well organized, and able to initiate and follow through on a variety of projects.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, personal, customer service to club members and winery guests.  Create lasting member and guest relationships /experiences 

• Assist in requisition and fulfillment for all DTC departments e.g.: tasting rooms, shipping and WC

• Assist Tasting Room staff on all DTC Walking tours or ATV tour matters 

• Solve logistical challenges, striving for operational excellence and positive customer experiences

• Assist with member and guest order processing and communications

• Assist Wine Club Manager with campaigns, communications, club e newsletters, reports, Wine club members and guests as needed

• Provides Admin support for Wine Club Manager for tele sales campaigns, e-mail correspondence for wine club

• Creates customer call lists for telemarketing e.g.: sales, declines, cancelations, holds, updates and all aspects of club processing; makes outbound calls correlating to lists.  

• Assists Wine Club Manager with executing WC events and wine release celebrations

• Drives ATV & company vehicles for tours, events (on & off-site) and to pick up wine from cold room as needed 

 

Competencies and Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in customer service and/or retail sales 

• At least 1 year of experience in Wine Retail and/or club department (or equivalent) desired; exceptional, similar experience from outside the wine business may be considered

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, CRM, Adobe AI, WordPress, & Vin65 (POS) a plus. 

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

• Self-starter, clear communicator, positive team player, multi-tasker & highly organized

The Position

The position of Part Time Tasting Room Host reports to the Assistant Tasting Room Manager. The role of the Tasting Room Host is to provide an exceptional level of customer service, wine education and a memorable wine experience for the winery’s guests. • Conduct informative wine tasting experiences and tours with ability to display and convey knowledge of wine

• Provides exceptional customer service, offers wine club program(s) and encourage signups

• Promotes sales of wine and specialty merchandise in the tasting room and winery events, on the phone, via e-mail, and occasionally at off-site events

• Communicates effectively with guests in a confident, knowledgeable and friendly manner that conveys our brand image and leads to sales transactions and brand loyalty

• Performs wine service, tastings and wine education in a brand consistent manner.

• Answer phone calls and emails pertaining to tours and book tour appointments as needed

• Maintain retail displays, stock wine and retail inventory and maintain cleanliness of tasting room

• Performs daily opening and/or closing procedures

• Safely operate and drive company vehicles

 

Non-Essential Functions

Mr. Tipple's Recording Studio is seeking friendly, knowledgeable, service-oriented server with a passion for hospitality to join our team part time.

Mr. Tipple's is a Jazz bar, open Mon-Sat, featuring live music, always without a cover. The server is the primary point of contact for guest experience, responsible for selling and serving beverages and food using their knowledge, hospitality, and service skills.

Seeking 3-4 shifts a week in total.

Responsibilities include:


  • Overseeing guest experience and delivering warm hospitality

  • Making menu suggestions and describing the cocktails to guests

  • Open and closing sidework

Required Experience:


  • 2yrs restaurant experience

  • Familiarity with spirits and craft cocktails

  • Familiar with Aloha POS

Small team in which everyone hustles and has fun. Tip Pool house.
