The General Manager will share our passion for local, hand-made foods using high-quality, vegan ingredients, and working closely with the CEO will oversee operations at our bakery in San Rafael, CA and support the growth of the business.

Responsibilities


  • Under the supervision of the CEO, work with and/or supervise administration, bakery and distribution staff to ensure financial, marketing, production, sanitation, and distribution goals and standards are met.

  • Interface with customers regarding new accounts, existing accounts and oversee the onboarding process for new accounts.

  • Oversee and lead kitchen & distribution personnel. This is to include hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, career development and coaching with approval of the CEO.

  • Help ensure all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), federal and state regulations and safety standards are up to date and documented. Assist in developing new programs and SOP documents.

  • Assist in product development processes and oversee the successful commercialization of new items.

  • Prepare & participate in any audits

  • Regular walk-through of the facility to determine which areas need attention, maintenance or repair.

  • Ability to lift and move up to (60lbs) and spend prolonged periods standing.

  • Participate in any future projects of the business.

  • Ability to assist in the bakery, deliver products, and visit stores as needed

  • 45-50 hours/week required including weekends as needed

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in management of a professional, high-volume food facility, with food distribution, manufacturing or other business characteristics similar to Judy’s Breadsticks.

  • Background in wholesale food production, equipment maintenance, sanitation, staffing/scheduling, and quality control. Bakery/Food experience is required! 

  • Bilingual - English and Spanish is a plus.

  • Understanding food production processes and proper record keeping (including food processing and sanitation) for regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Dependable and self-motivated team player able to own responsibility.

  • Assist in overseeing food safety including GMP’s, facility security, and HACCP.

  • Assist in overseeing the maintenance of the facility and equipment to meet company standards.

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Computer Savvy Required- Quick Books knowledge is a plus!

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

SUPERVISOR PROPER FOOD SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA   

As a Supervisor, your role is to help ensure that the store you are working out of is operating smoothly according to Proper Food’s procedures and high operational and service standards. You serve as a trusted, second pair of eyes to your management team and a leader to your fellow cashiers. You will have the shared responsibility of ensuring smooth service to guests and execute the daily tasks necessary for successful store operations. When a manager is out, and an MIT is unavailable, your role as supervisor will require you to be the onsite point of contact for the duration of their absence and take sole ownership of the location you are supervising.  Due to the nature of this role, and the associated level of responsibility you may be asked to supervise a store without notice and must be flexible and willing to do so. Reliability in covering the scheduling needs of the store you are supervising is a must. Please keep in mind our supervisors are market supervisors, and should be prepared to work at other locations, other than their home store.  In order to fulfill this role, youwill be trained on all basic tasks required of a store manager.This role is intended to grow into a Manager in Training role upon review and meeting expectations of a Supervisor Role.

Customer Experience:·  

Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the day- Foster positive & professional relationships with guests·  Take pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience including a spotless store environment, flawless product quality and the kind of customer service that puts a smile on everyone’s face. ·  Oversee the seamless execution of catering deliveries, pick-ups, and online orders- Double check bags to ensure nothing is missed (menu items, platters, dressings, utensils, tents, etc).·  Be a go-to for ingredients, dietary restrictions, and preferences·  Act as a model for customer service, procedures, work ethic, and uniform·  Relay guest concerns to Manager 

Specifically, you must have: · 1+ years of retail/restaurant supervisory experience. You don’t necessarily need to have been a Store Manager, but you do need to have led a team of 3+ people.

Franklin Canyon Golf Club and Touchstone Golf are excited to announce a career opportunity as the Food & Beverage Supervisor restaurant and bar at the golf course. The ideal candidate will be focused on providing leadership and direction for the food and beverage portion of the operation.

The ideal candidate is a high energy, motivated individual to lead the Food and Beverage operation at the course. The facility is located in Hercules and hosts in excess of 60,000 rounds of golf on an annual basis. The food and beverage operation consists of a casual bar/grill environment and modest private event operation dedicated to serving the local community of golfers and non-golfers.

The F&B Supervisor is a "hands-on" position. In addition to leading and oversight of the culinary operation, the supervisor works shifts both in the grill and serving as bartender. They are responsible for food and supply ordering, banquet planning and execution, staffing of food and beverage operations throughout the property including any grill, snack bar, beverage cart and event space. Responsible for food safety protocols for the entire club..

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Management and leadership of front and back of the house staff at Franklin Canyon - including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling and ongoing support of the team.

2. Active participation with the other leaders of the Franklin Canyon team to provide for a consistently high level of experience for guests to the golf course.

3. Inventory management of the food and beverage products – food, beer, wine and liquor. Including ordering, pricing, and monthly inventory.

4. Participate with the team as a key ‘promoter’ of Franklin Canyon. Work with other facility management staff to develop and implement marketing efforts.

5. Serve as an ‘on the floor’ leader providing guest service to Franklin Canyon’s guests.

6. Display positive and productive communication in the team environment.

Compensation: $21/hour based on past experience plus gratuities. As a full-time position, the Food and Beverage Supervisor is eligible to participate in the company sponsored medical & dental insurance, vacation and 401K programs.

Additional Responsibilities: Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Educational Requirements: High School Graduate.

License / Permits Required: Valid and current California Driver’s License, serve safe certification (can be completed upon hire at employer expense), appropriate documentation to work in the United States.
