Michael Baker is seeking a seasoned CEQA practitioner to conduct EIR peer reviews and to manage or assist with environmental planning projects of varying complexity in the Los Angeles area. One of the primary roles of this position is to assist with EIR peer review services for the City of Los Angeles and the position involves maintaining office hours at the Department of City Planning's office in Los Angeles City Hall for 1-2 days per week. The balance of the work week would be spent in either of Michael Baker's downtown Los Angeles or Long Beach offices, or working remotely. We are seeking candidates with 8 years of progressively responsible experience on CEQA projects. The ideal candidate will be capable of providing meaningful comments on EIRs prepared by other consultants for major land development projects in the City of Los Angeles. Strong client/industry relationships in southern California with public and/or private entities is also preferable.
