We are looking for a skilled Electrical Service Technician to join our team. Job entails delivery and installation and programming of electronics. Installation includes new construction pre-wire and retrofitting electronics into residential, some commercial and hospitality locations.


We are looking for an Audio/Video Service technician with the following skills:




  • Must have 4+ years experience in audio, video, and smart home automation installation in a residential atmosphere.


  • Must have the knowledge to fish wires to needed locations in a residential retrofit environment.


  • Must have mounted 100+ 55"-85" monitors.


  • Must have knowledge of NEC for low voltage wiring.


  • Must have knowledge of wiring and setting up high end stereo components, and surround sound equipment.


  • Must be able to crimp RJ45 connectors on CAT6 and know the difference between CAT6 standard termination configurations.


  • Must know how to properly set masonry anchors in brick and stone

  • Should have either Control 4 or Crestron certified installer and or programmer certifications.

  • Knowledge of Savant, AMX, and URC is a plus

  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods

  • Knowledge of Surround Sound methods and proper placement of speakers in a Dolby ATMOS system

  • Knowledge of surveillance camera systems including setup of DNS servers, and the ability to mount, aim, and focus IP cameras

  • Knowledge of computer networking and ability to setup and program networks from scratch. Network certifications are a plus.

  • Electrical background is a plus

  • Must be extremely detail oriented and maintain a clean working area on all job sites and maintain organization and cleanliness in the work van.

Closers arrive at projects when they are 80% or more completed and work with the existing team get the job to completion.

  • Leading a small crew of technicians for installation of Audio / Video equipment

  • Installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, or programming of numerous Audio Visual Systems including: Crestron, Extron, AMX, Smartboards, etc.

  • Operation of test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multi-Meter, and Impendence Meter

  • Working in teams or independently to integrate various low voltage systems and complete commercial installation and service projects

We are seeking a full time installation tech or apprentice. We sell and install 12v mobile electronics in many different vehicles. We have a shop location in Middle River and we also do mobile fleet work. Please read through the following, if you meet ALL required criteria please feel free to send us a resume. Requirements: 



  • Must be 18 years of age 

  • Must have a valid drivers license, insurance, and maintained vehicle

  • Must be able to pass a back round check and drug screening, you will be tested. 

  • Must be able to learn from direction, accept constructive criticism, and be willing to learn the methods prescribed in our standard operating procedures.   

  • We would prefer a minimum of 2 years of professional 12v installation experience, we will train the right candidate.  


Position Details: 



  • This will be an houly position with plenty of upward potential. Starting pay will be based on experience. 

  • Hours are Monday - Saturday for 5 Day per week. Times range from 7am-6pm for 32-40 hours per week. 

  • This position will require travel to the job sites and shop, each day will be different. Please be prepared to get to the job on time.

Field Service & Installation Technician Job Duties:


· Maintenance and Installation of systems and components marketed by company


· Field work including maintenance and installation of Satellite Systems, Sound, Systems, CCTV Systems, Alarm Systems and Low Voltage A/V Systems.


· Occasional maintenance work on specialized intercom, timing and video systems for the quick serve industry.

Field Service & Installation Technician Qualifications:

Supervision


The Employee will report to a local manager and will be expected to work independently when fully trained.

The AV Lead Engineer/Technician will build and implement solutions that are customized to meet an organization’s needs. General responsibilities include both post sales implementation activities, but also providing pre-sales support.     Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



    • Installation, testing, and troubleshooting of AV systems which includes displays, projectors, video conferencing equipment, control systems, etc.

    • Understanding and interpreting of both architectural and electrical schematics

    • On-site supervision of installation team and communication with Project Supervisors to complete jobs on time and within budget

    • Participate in meetings and provide updates to account managers

    • During job commissioning ensure that the systems quality and performance meet design specifications

    • Verify drawings, code, and site pictures are complete and meet job specifications

    • Configure DSP’s and load/modify control system code as necessary

    • Redline post-install drawings to ensure accuracy

    • Provide Quick Reference Guides (brief user instruction set) for control systems

    • Train clients as required


    Qualifications/Requirements:



    • At least 8+ years of AV industry experience

    • At least 5+ years of experience installing Crestron, AMX, BiAmp, Polycom, and/or Cisco solutions

    • At least 3+ years of experience loading and modifying Control Systems code (Crestron and AMX)

    • Crestron and/or AMX Certified

    • InfoComm CTS-I/D Certification preferred

    • Setup and connection of VTC units (Cisco, Polycom, etc…)

    • DSP configuration (Biamp, ClearOne, etc…)

    • Video Wall setup and configuration

    • Active DoD Secret Clearance

    - Ability to quickly learn concepts and configurations of new equipment on the fly
