Must have positive energy, be a strategic thinker, a people person, and willing to do whatever it takes. Must be ok with occasional swearing, music of all kinds, and willing to support a needy group of super smart and hardworking fun people. Must have a reliable car.

STUDIO MANAGER / LASH ARTIST


Job Opportunity:

This is a Full-Time position. Your time will be split between eyelash application and managerial duties. Although you will always be managing, we understand that you will also be applying lashes a significant portion of the time as well. Leading the staff will be a 100% commitment.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Provide eyelash extensions personally, in addition to leading staff and managing the studio


  • Leading by example by modeling all activities through self-involvement


  • Maintaining morale of lash artists through positivity, motivation, and support


  • Ensure Deka Lash branding and culture through consistency and continuity in all actions



Client-focused Responsibilities (as a Lash Artist)



  • Provide astonishing lashes


  • Educate clients on how to properly care for their lashes

  • Encourage the highest level of customer service staff-wide

Staff-focused Responsibilities (as a Studio Manager)




  • Coordinate and monitor the hiring and training of Deka Lash studio Lash Artists


    • Phone screen and pre-interview; make interview/hiring recommendations




  • Manage, monitor and mentor Deka Lash studio Lash Artists for ongoing success and future growth



    • Schedule Monthly pack meetings to discuss goals, recognize staff, and review Monthly Refresher Sheets and Promotions


    • Schedule bi-weekly meetings with each lash artist


    • Create Action plans




  • Create and manage staff schedules, including handling same-day staff call-outs


  • Responsible for 90-day and annual Lash Artist performance evaluations


  • Manage disciplinary actions involving Deka Lash studio staff, should they arise



Studio-focused Responsibilities (as a Studio Manager)



  • Exceed industry sanitation standards


  • Comply with and enforce Deka Lash Corporate policies, business practices, systems and processes


  • Supervise and reinforce studio-level processes and systems


  • Coordinate and lead local sales efforts (social media marketing, outreach, studio events)


  • Ensure all studio systems are followed such as proper open/close, delinquent account procedures, cash handling, bank deposits, and inventory management


  • Ensure the facility is clean, stocked, properly maintained and operationally sound



Required Qualifications:



  • Currently licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist with minimum 3 years of experience


  • Positive, proactive, and a team player


  • Possess excellent leadership and management skills to create a positive, successful environment for staff and clients


  • Have a strong work ethic, integrity and professional demeanor


  • Ability to multi-task and manage client and staff concerns in a timely and appropriate manner


  • Ability to foster a TEAM environment

  • Must be available to work during extended studio hours (including nights and weekends)


  • Must be accessible when unforeseen issues arise outside of working schedule


  • Previous management experience in the beauty industry strongly recommended but not required

Role Requirements - Junior Account Manager



  • Highly organized and self-sufficient. Self-starter attitude is a must

  • Able to adapt to new software and tools. Provide suggestions on how to improve a process if there are lacking features

  • Reach agreed upon sales targets their deadline

  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of the latest developments

  • Create sales material to present to customers

  • Proficient in creating word documents, excel sheets, being able to prioritize and move around tasks under tight deadlines

  • High level of communication, sense of urgency, and the ability to voice any concerns when necessary

  • Must be able to work out of TDM HQ located in Culver City, CA (not a remote position)


Daily Tasks Include (but not limited to):



  • Report directly to your Senior Account Manager

  • Delegate tasks between departments to execute projects in a timely manner

  • Assist with merchandise lines; pop up shops, touring, logistics, international shipments, product development, event planning, ecomm (Shopify)

  • Handle tour merch logistics and communication with the venues

  • Work with production department to ensure projects are executed to completion

  • Kick-off new projects with Senior Account Manager and provide daily updates by communicating to all relevant parties

  • Assist with Marketing dept; promotional assets, content creation, photoshoots & in-house photography


Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in sales, customer service or other related fields

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (bonus if you have used Asana!)

  • Ability to buile rapport with clients and maintain healthy relationships

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Experience in merchandising a major + (mood boards, design, production, Shopify, ecomm)

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator) is optional but desired. Provide a portfolio of work past/current work if applicable
