(LOCATED IN ENGLEWOOD, NJ)


Working under the supervision of the RN on site. The Memory Care Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and the day to day supervision of nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards and guidelines and regulations that govern our facility to ensure that the highest quality care is maintained at all times.


Job Responsibilites & Functions:


· Directs the day to day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines.


· Ensures that all residents are assessed and evaluated as per policy and procedure throughout their stay by reviewing resident's plan of care. Coordinate nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.


· Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with current federal, state and local standards. Ensure that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, medical supplies and equipment is on hand to meet nursing needs of the residents.


 


· Administers professional services such treatments of catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/ bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, etc. as required.


 


· Completes and files required records/forms/charts upon the resident’s admission and residence.


· Monitors nursing care to ensure that all residents are treated fairly and with kindness, dignity and respect. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information. Report and investigate all allegations of resident abuse and or misappropriation of resident property.


· Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter- departmental personnel as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.


· Other duties as assigned.


 


 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


 


· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holding a valid license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the State of New Jersey.


· Has understanding of, affection for, and desire to work with the aging.


· Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis.


· Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners and others.


· Able to work in cooperation with other staff members.



OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


· Must be able to pass the facility’s initial and annual physical examination.


· Must be able to perform the essential duties associated with this position, either with or with reasonable accommodation.


· Requires lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment.


· Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

  • Everyone we represent works in the film/tv industry, many started right here!

  • We assist in casting 3-4 Films every single day.

  • In all likelihood, whatever show or movie that you watch on tv or, the local theatre tonight... initially came across the desks of The William Reynolds Agency in Atlanta.

  • "When you enter our waiting room the first thing you will see is a display case with 22 awards for booking talent".


Our offices are sanitized twice each day, and the interview/audition is one on one...not crowded at all usually no more than 3 - 4 people in our offices at one time, and we have a fairly large office.



  • Potential talent will be required to industry-standard photos, professional training, and website marketing and the agency pays for all of that if you are selected through an audition process.

  • Our Agency's total investment is almost $3,000.00

  • Further more the talent will be required to make an investment on their own, such as printing / etc.

  • An actor/actress can earn as little as $64 a day to over $1,000 a day.

The Certified Nurse Aide will:



  • Administer general physical care to residents in all aspects of personal care and hygiene.

  • Assist in all aspects of activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene, grooming, toileting, etc.).

  • Provide restorative nursing care using universal precautions and/or infection controls.

  • Assist with and/or perform basic resident care procedures with proper supervision and instruction.

  • Keep each resident clean, well groomed and as comfortable as possible.

  • Ensure that all call bells are answered promptly.


 


REQUIREMENTS


 


The Certified Nurse Aide will have a valid Nurse Aide Certification approved by the New Jersey Department of Health. The candidate must have a high school graduate level verbal and written communications skills, including ability to read and write in English and follow verbal and written instructions. Candidate must be able to maintain Nurse Aide certificate and complete 12 hours of continuing education per year as mandated by the N.J. Department of Health. Candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation): possess the ability to safely lift, varied weights of 80-175 lbs, with assistance of other personnel or mechanical lift is also required.


 


The ideal candidate will also:



  • Possess ability to work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision

  • Be able to work in cooperation with residents and staff

  • Be tactful and courteous with residents and others

  • Be adaptable to change and able to deal with crisis and emergencies

ABOUT THIS POSITION


This is a fill time position based at The Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, NJ. The successful candidate must be able to cover assigned shifts on a regular basis, including holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs of other Certified Nurse Aides on occasion. This position falls under the 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Pay and benefits are provided as per the union agreement
