Position: Event Sales Manager

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing event sales revenues to include banquet food, banquet beverage, facility rental and net amounts received for equipment rental. This is accomplished through networking, solicitations, grass roots sales and attaining or exceeding the annual budget revenue goals and booking goals for catering.

Job Description:


  • Under the direction of management, increase event sales revenue by following Lucky Strike's Sales Standards & Expectations, including: executing outbound sales call requirements to drive awareness, implementing lead generating strategies; identifying and pursuing target markets by monitoring venue and community demographics.

  • Manage event administrative requirements and logistics by developing and adhering to any contracts and confirmed agreements. Work with internal departments and outside vendors and following up to ensure that corporate standards of quality and service are met.

  • Maintaining a close working relationship with each event host. Including, meeting and greeting the event organizer, following up with the event hosts to ensure satisfaction and maximize referrals.

FULL TIME LPN


Working under the supervision of the RN on site. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and the day to day supervision of nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. The Actors Fund Home, an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ, and a recipient of the U.S. News and World Report’s coveted “Best Nursing Homes in America,” seeks a Part Time Activities Coordinator who will be responsible for developing, leading, and maintaining a planned schedule of recreational activities for its residents. These programs are designed to stimulate and support residents’ desire to use their physical and mental capabilities fully, and to enable them to maintain a sense of usefulness and self-respect. Further, programming should utilize the arts and creative expression to foster productive aging for residents in a person centered care environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Develop and provide a diversity of cognitive, physical, social; intellectual, spiritual, cultural and recreational programs consisting of group (on and off site), individual, and independent programs.



  • Develop a written monthly activities calendar at least two weeks prior to the first of the month


  • Implement recreational programs listed on the calendars in which you are assigned. Assure that residents are invited, encouraged to attend, and transported to and from activity programs.


  • On an ongoing basis, research and carry out best practices in the Activities field. For example, provide opportunities for community integration, intergenerational programs, and other innovative programs that will serve our unique population of performing Arts and Entertainment Industry professionals.


  • This facility has converted to electronic medical records. This position will assist with the department documentation and paperwork including: Initial assessments, progress notes, attendance records, bus trip notes, one to one visits and other notes used to document Activities within the building. Participate in developing, reviewing and revising the recreation portion of the care plan as well as attend the care plan meetings as needed.


  • Provide other AFH staff with guidance and consultation about providing recreational programs as necessary.


  • Assists in selected resident care (e.g. feeding or transferring) as necessary, once appropriately in-serviced.


  • Practice appropriate safety measures to prevent infection, accidents, or injury.


  • Adhere to The Actors' Fund Home pledge of confidentiality with regards to resident’s information.



 


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

NCCAP certify or willing to get certification in a year’s time



  • Minimum of one year senior living, hospice, subacute or skilled nursing experience in a therapeutic recreation and / or senior activities role. Experience working with persons with dementia is preferred.

Must have a driver’s license and a clean driver’s record.

The Role Player supports training delivery at the Center for Domestic Preparedness on a part-time basis. Role Players provide an element of realism to training to challenge students and enhance the learning environment. Role Players also support training by assisting with the preparation and recovery of training venues, development of scripts, and other tasks as qualified. 

The Center for Domestic Preparedness provides advanced, all-hazards training to approximately 50,000 emergency responders annually from state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as the federal government, foreign governments, and private entities, as available. The scope of training includes preparedness, protection, and response.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Portray incident victims, hospital patients, protestors, persons requiring decontamination, hostages, dispatchers, incident command roles, government officials, radio operators, and training equipment (ambulance and vehicle) operators. 
• Utilize scripts and specific instructions outlining the responsibilities associated with the particular roles and class for which the Role Player is assigned. 
• Utilize moulage, special clothing, and props to simulate injuries during training scenarios.
• May perform other duties, such as exercise facilitation, logistics, and equipment management as required.
• Complete any additional assigned tasks by the Role Player Lead.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year of professional experience.

CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE- Memory Care Unit-11-7 Shift


SUMMARY: Ensure that routine nursing care is provided based on resident’s general service and health service plan as developed by the Wellness Care Nurse Supervisor. Responsible in the administration of medications and treatment in the Memory Care Unit in accordance to current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility and as required by the Wellness Care Nurse Supervisor to ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained at all times.


Job responsibilities & Functions:


  • Administer medications and treatment in accordance to the New Jersey Department of Health regulations, Actors Fund policies and procedures and as delegated by the Wellness Care Nurse Supervisor Complete and maintain all required facility records such as logs, MAR, TAR, communication books and etc.

· Ensure that all residents receive the assistance they need with their ADLs such as bathing, hygiene, grooming, toileting and etc. Encourage self help and independence whenever possible. Assist in making arrangement for transportation, reminding residents of appointments, accompanying residents to appointments, activity, social programs and as needed. Assist residents in preparing for medical tests (i.e. lab work, x-ray, therapy, etc) and collect specimens as instructed.


· Participate in the development and implementation of the resident’s general service and health plan as necessary. Reviews communication book and service plans daily to determine if there are any changes in the resident’s daily care routine.


· Participate in Quality Assurance programs, and any other program to ensure that the facility provides the highest quality care.


  • Ensure that safety precautions in all duties are maintained and to report any hazardous conditions and any equipment in disrepair.

MEMORY CARE HHA-


SUMMARY: Responsible for providing assistance and services to residents in our new Memory Care Unit. Ensure that routine nursing care is provided based on residents needs as stated in the general service plan developed by the Assisted Living Coordinator in accordance to current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility and as may be required by the Assisted Living Coordinator, to ensure that the highest quality care is maintained at all times.


Job responsibilities & Functions:



  • Assist residents in the Memory Care Unit with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, hair care, feeding, grooming and etc., encouraging independence and self help whenever possible.

  • Assist in making arrangement for transportation, reminding residents of appointments, accompanying residents to appointments, activity, social programs and as needed.

  • Ensure that resident’s phone calls are answered promptly and redirected accordingly. Ensure that required facility records are completed and maintained.

  • Ensure that safety precautions in all duties are maintained and to report any hazardous conditions and any equipment in disrepair.


· Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY: Keep abreast of economic conditions/ situations and recommend to the DON adjustments in nursing services that ensure the continued ability to provide quality of care.


CORE REQUIREMENTS:


· A Homemaker-Home Health Aide training program (HHA or Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification approved by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.


· Must be able to report all changes or unusual findings in the resident’s condition, attitude, reactions, appetite as well as incidents and accidents and etc, to the Memory Care Coordinator as soon as possible, so that appropriate interventions can be done.


· Must be able to perform applicable housekeeping chores.


· Ability to work independently and problem solve with a minimal supervision.


· Be alert and willing to learn new skills.


· Possess effective interpersonal skills in dealing with residents, co- workers, families and various health professionals.


· Be tactful and respectful to residents, families and co- workers.


· Be adaptable to change and able to meet crisis and emergencies.


· Have an understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with the aging.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


· Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing 25 lbs. Frequently pushes, twists, stoops, bends, climbs stairs, reaches at above or below shoulder height.


· Communicates orally and/or in writing with residents, families, co-workers, other professionals and the public.


· Must be able to pass the facility’s physical examination upon employment and annually thereafter, and be able to perform the essential duties associated with this position.


· Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
