Shiba Ramen is seeking motivated candidates to manage our small ramen shop in Emeryville Public Market and work with the leadership team to grow our company's business. The manager position's scope is flexible and can be adjusted to a candidate's experience and ability level, but the minimum responsibilities are as follows:
A few years of kitchen experience is desirable but not necessary. Versatility and willingness to learn are traits the ideal candidate should possess. Candidates must also have a good business sense, and a keen awareness of cost management issues that affect our day-to-day operations. This position may be called on to assist with operations at our other Shiba Ramen locations, including our existing location in Downtown Oakland and the opening of a new Fremont location in late 2020.
Shiba Ramen aspires to the basics of the Japanese ramen experience: delicious food, served quickly and paid for at the counter, a decent price. Our menu focuses on ramen, a few signature sides, and really good beer and sake.
