Summer Kitchen is hiring for an AMAZING front of house manager / shift lead for our busy counter service restaurant/cafe in Berkeley. We are an environmentally focused, farm to table, organic restaurant and look for candidates who appreciate the slow food movement.
We provide a fast paced, yet laid back work environment. Phenomenal customer service is our top priority as well as serving top notch gourmet fare in a welcoming setting. We have a gigantic loyal clientele who always appreciate a warm welcome into our restaurant.
Shift lead / FOH manager will manage the counter service POS along with support from FOH staff and will also act as the point of contact for front of house staff to include scheduling, hiring and training. This role could have an 8 - 4 or 9- 5 type schedule.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
-Cashiering and POS
-Experience managing staff
-Onboarding and training new hires
-Customer engagement to provide optimal service
-Attention to detail
-Passion for food
-Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
-Ability to work weekends when needed
