As a Human Resources Associate in our Chicago office you would report to the Chief Administrative Officer, and your day-to-day would look something like this:

  • Become the in-house expert on all HR policies, procedures, benefit programs and the employee handbook – This includes training on our handbook, answering questions, and setting up a policy review schedule to ensure we’re keeping up with the times
  • Manage onboarding for all new employees – Everything from writing offer letters, coordinating pre-employment tests, managing day 1 activities and training, and acting as HR point of contact for our new colleague
  • Run our HRIS platform, Paycom, to manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including:
    • Maintain employee records and files
    • Produce HR data reports when requested
    • Assist with delivery of performance management process
    • Build out Paycom learning with existing training and development
    • Work with Paycom resources to understand and implement best practices across the software modules
  • Manage details including bi-weekly payroll, compliance, retirement benefits, FMLA and other leave programs
  • We expect this is what you’ll be doing, but the reality is that we are a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization and it’s likely that no two days will be the same! You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in special projects, and we can promise you’ll never be bored!

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile – Our Casting Call!

  • Excels in a team-based, client-centric culture – our clients are our colleagues
  • Savvy with technology with HRIS experience a must - knowledge of Paycom preferred
  • Superior analytical and problem resolution skills and an understanding that HR requests are urgent for the colleague requesting
  • Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment with deadline pressures, discerning colleagues and a manager who is based remotely and frequently travels
  • Willingness to work until the work is done, which may require extended hours to meet team needs
  • Bachelor’s degree required, SHRM credentials a plus
  • 5+ years of human resource experience is preferred, HR Generalist experience is a plus
