Right now we’re looking for a friendly, strong, motivated person to join our receiving and inventory team, which is responsible for unloading and preparing shipments of merchandise.
Receiving and inventory associates spend their days in our lovely garden store keeping track of merchandise as it comes in and organizing stock and storage areas.
In this role, you’ll unload large shipments, check them for quality and accuracy, and prepare them for sale. You’ll be expected to lift, carry, and move heavy items, so you’ll need to be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re a detail-oriented person with excellent organizational skills. Our inventory associates keep things orderly behind the scenes and frequently handle situations and orders with many moving parts. They work closely with our fabulous buying and sales teams, so a friendly and clear communication style is a big plus.
If you have some plant and garden experience, a passion for horticulture, and a strong interest in garden design, this role might be a great fit. Clerical experience would also be helpful, as this role includes a good amount of record-keeping and some math. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn! Inventory associates are in a great position to gain knowledge and expertise from the skilled horticulturalists, buyers, and garden designers who work here.
At Flora Grubb Gardens, we’re always finding new ways to impart our love for gardens to our customers; practice our art in the medium of plants; and make our store an inspiring place to shop, learn, and enjoy nature. With so many talented designers and gardeners among our staff and customers, our nursery has become a hub of creativity in the garden world. So many former employees have gone on to further exciting success, starting their own landscape companies and plant shops, publishing gorgeous books, and leaving their unique imprint on the Bay Area landscape.
Spend your days surrounded by plants, collaborating with other creative, plant-obsessed people. Develop your skills, expertise, and vision in a beautiful garden environment.
