Farley’s east in Uptown Oakland is looking for a dynamic Assistant Kitchen Manager with room to grow.
Responsibilities include: Executing Prep list and managing second prep cook, making soups, light baking, dressings, sauces, running brunch shift on the weekends, ordering and receiving product, working together with Kitchen manager to produce catering and grab and go deli salads.
About Farley’s: We are a family-run, local business with another location in Potrero Hill S.F. and upcoming locations in Oakland Airport and SFO. We serve high-quality panini, salads, soups and breakfast, handmade from scratch using local and seasonal ingredients, and we take pride in creating a work environment that focuses on the dignity and skill of our cooks.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment, can communicate and problem-solve effectively, can work independently as well as with a team and is passionate about great food. Kitchen experience is preferred, and this is a great job for the cook who has high standards but is tired of negative kitchen environments.
Base wage starts at $18 plus tips (usually $7 per hour extra). We also offer health insurance after 90 days and 401k after 1 year.
