+ Adhere to food quality standards including consistency and preparation
+ Prepare food items in order to prescribed recipes
+ Safely and efficiently use knives, utensils, and other tools & equipment necessary to complete preparation of menu items
+ Observe and practice all safety and sanitation guidelines & procedures
+ Commit to long hours of work to complete tasks when necessary
+ Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
+ Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe to meals.
+ Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
+ Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and taking temperature
+ Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits.
+ Prepare menu items with different preparation times to be completed at the same time
+ PUNCTUAL in regards to scheduling and attendance policy.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS + WORK ENVIRONMENT:
+ Perform calmly and effectively in a busy environment
+ Be able to stand and walk an entire shift
+ Communicate in English in order to comprehend, follow, & perform job requirements in written and spoken direction
+ Can work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
+ Exposure to extreme heat
+ The noise level can be loud
+ Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Hourly rate. $14+ Based on Experience.
