Karen's Bakery Cafe is looking for a baker to work within our current team. Some experience in a restaurant or bakery is necessary. Knowledge of basic skills is essential-how to measure by weight and volume, the different methods of mixing, how to operate large mixers and big ovens. Specifically, we are looking for someone who can bake muffins, scones, coffee cakes, proof and bake laminated doughs. The shift we are looking to fill is 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm.
We are a European-style Bakery Cafe, baking all items from scratch. We are open 6 days a week (always closed on Sundays) and offer breakfast and lunch daily. We are in the Historic District of Folsom, close to Lake Natoma. Our customers are an active, food forward, community based group. We have been in business for 19 years, and offer a full line of breakfast pastries, muffins, scones, coffee cakes, and laminated doughs (croissant, puff, and danish dough), as well as cakes for simple events or high end specialties. We have a dedicated, hard working team on board. Our bakery team is currently 10 people, so there are plenty of hands to share workloads.
