HEAD BAKER:
Overview of Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the overall performance of the Bakery Department.
-In addition to managing the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products, you will be focused on reducing costs, hiring, and training new employees.
-Supervising, monitoring product quality and consistency, tracking inventory, and managing the bakery's budget.
-Evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement, reinforce strengths, and develop improved practices and procedures.
-Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained.
-Correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays is taking place.
-Responsible for managing department inventory, instocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to standards.
-Plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit. You will hire, supervise, train, and develop team members in accordance with company policies and procedures; including administering performance reviews and corrective actions.

 

Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to give and take direction participating in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
• Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed. Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products.
• Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift. This role also requires vertically transferring tray up to 5 lbs., from 7" to 64" for up to 10 hours, and vertically/horizontally transferring items up to 40 lbs., from 5" to 36", for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Filling customer special orders, including wedding cakes

•Organizing and rotating stock in the Decorator's freezer

BAKERY
Overview of Responsibilities:

Responsible to provide excellent customer satisfaction through the management and leadership
Responsible for maintaining high standards in quality, variety, selection, food safety, and sanitation for all products produced and sold in the Bakery Department.
Ensure quality bakery products through proper rotation procedures, monitoring cases for damaged items, and following all health and sanitation guidelines.

KITCHEN

Head Chef

Summary of position:
Directly responsible for all in house and catering functions including food purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness; training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, catering presentation, portion and cost control.
Must have 3+ years catering and high volume kitchen experience
Creativity in all cuisine, especially Latin-American cuisine is highly recommended

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Working directly with catering and store management to produce quality food and service
• Attends weekly meetings and brings suggestions for improvements
• Ensures that all in house and catering food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the catering department's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and assorted of kitchen equipment
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
• Maintains sanitary and clean work area
• Handles, stores and rotates all products regularly
• Assists in food prep assignments during of-peak periods as needed
• Make future employments and termination decisions including interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining kitchen personnel

Line/Prep Cooks
Requirements below:

Essential Job Functions

-Prep and cook all food recipes

Qualifications:

We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should also be able to work various shifts. Note: this position's compensation includes salary and tips.
Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.
