The Peninsula Book Fair Coordinator at Books Inc. will mainly be responsible for helping to staff book fairs and school author visits during the calendar school year. Candidates must be familiar with children’s literature, outgoing, and able to deliver high quality customer service at all times.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Setting up, staffing and breaking down book fairs.
Communicating with librarians, teachers and parent volunteers during all aspects of the book fair.
Book talks, at schools and possibly in-store to students, parents and educators.
While this position will be focused staffing our Peninsula book fairs, you may at times be needed in San Francisco or the East Bay, reliable transportation is a must.
Occasional weekends or evening events.
Ability to lift & move heavy boxes as well as be on your feet for long periods of time.
Responsibilities will also include assisting the children’s book department with various projects at any given time.
PT hourly position, $17/hour
