Hello! L'acajou bakery and cafe is looking to fill its role of morning baker. This is a very coveted position and has traditionally had very little turnover. The shifts are Tuesday through Saturday 5:30 am to 1:30 pm. Saturday is a little later start (7 am- 2pm)
*baking all breads, pastries, biscuits and scones for the day's service.
*Preparing doughs for tomorrow's bake.
*Assisting with large catering orders
*Assisting with dish/cleanup
The ideal candidate would have experience with laminated dough, yeasted doughs, biscuits and scones. (However we would be willing to train someone who is very passionate about learning the craft of baking) Fluency in Spanish would also be a plus as many of the staff that you will be working closely with, speak Spanish. (However they do speak english as well)
Mostly, we are looking for someone who is serious about the noble craft of baking and wishes to produce beautiful pastries and breads. We are known as one of the best bakeries and cafes in San Francisco for the last ten years. We hope to find someone to join us on this journey!
