Job Description

Left Coast Catering is looking for a highly motivated, focused, and energetic sous chef who is dedicated to the culinary arts. This individual will be an essential member of our kitchen team, helping Left Coast in our commitment to be the best catering company in the Bay Area.

Owned and operated by Top Chef contestant Laurine Wickett, Left Coast has stayed true to its commitment to fresh, exquisitely prepared food and superior service by following a simple formula for over 20 years: fresh, quality ingredients prepared by creative and talented chefs, served by personable and professional staff.   

If you are the perfect team member to laugh, grow, and collaborate with us you will need to meet the following criteria: 

  • Good work ethic and professional demeanor
  • Commitment to quality
  • Sense of humor and positive attitude 
  • Attention to details 
  • Ability to multitask and stay focused
  •  Great knife skills 
  • Four years culinary experience
  • Punctual, reliable
  •  Organized – know how to set up, work clean and efficiently
  • Team player 
  • Strong communication skills to lead,  train, motivate and manage
  • Experience with food cost, inventory, labor cost, administrative paperwork, and ordering.
