Job Description


As a Supervisor, your role is to help ensure that the store you are working out of is operating smoothly according to Proper Food’s procedures and high operational and service standards. You serve as a trusted, second pair of eyes to your management team and a leader to your fellow cashiers. You will have the shared responsibility of ensuring smooth service to guests and execute the daily tasks necessary for successful store operations. When a manager is out, and an MIT is unavailable, your role as supervisor will require you to be the onsite point of contact for the duration of their absence and take sole ownership of the location you are supervising.  Due to the nature of this role, and the associated level of responsibility you may be asked to supervise a store without notice and must be flexible and willing to do so. Reliability in covering the scheduling needs of the store you are supervising is a must. Please keep in mind our supervisors are market supervisors, and should be prepared to work at other locations, other than their home store.  In order to fulfill this role, youwill be trained on all basic tasks required of a store manager.This role is intended to grow into a Manager in Training role upon review and meeting expectations of a Supervisor Role.

Scheduling: · Work Monday-Friday (5 days/week)· Be flexible: available to cover and/or coordinate coverage in Manager/MIT’s absence· Act as point of contact and take ownership for store’s daily operations when manager/MIT is absent by completing basic daily/weekly Managerial tasks Co-Responsibility: While Manager/MIT is onsite, the below are shared day to day responsibilities that should be carried out between managers & supervisor· Provide support to store manager by helping to guide the flow of the day with regards to breaks, deliveries, peak times and to-dos.· Help train new employees on procedures and best practices· Process customer orders through POS and ensure all items are rung up correctly· Assist with counting Par and ensure the “Morning Par” email is sent correctly & on-time· Make sure day-old items are marked and put our first (FIFO)· Merchandise and restock food/drinks throughout the day. · Put out “Sold Out Signs” as needed, and OOS items on tablets· Assist with filling in online, food app, and phone orders· Execute daily & weekly cleaningtasks with teams ·  Help relay kitchen discrepancies accurately and within a timely manner. ·  Ensure all discounts and tenders are entered into POS accurately.·  Assist with daily swaps and catering pulls- Make sure they are entered correctly into your Par Spreadsheet   

Customer Experience:·  

Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the day- Foster positive & professional relationships with guests·  Take pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience including a spotless store environment, flawless product quality and the kind of customer service that puts a smile on everyone’s face. ·  Oversee the seamless execution of catering deliveries, pick-ups, and online orders- Double check bags to ensure nothing is missed (menu items, platters, dressings, utensils, tents, etc).·  Be a go-to for ingredients, dietary restrictions, and preferences·  Act as a model for customer service, procedures, work ethic, and uniform·  Relay guest concerns to Manager 

Specifically, you must have: · 1+ years of retail/restaurant supervisory experience. You don’t necessarily need to have been a Store Manager, but you do need to have led a team of 3+ people.
