Golden Gate Senior Services (GGSS) was established in 1975 to serve the seniors and now, the younger disabled of San Francisco. We were part of the original group of service providers funded by the San Francisco Commission on the Aging. Presently GGSS operates the Richmond and Castro Multipurpose Senior Centers in San Francisco.
Golden Gate Village (GGV) is a program of the San Francisco Richmond Senior Center. GGV is a community based program dedicated to helping seniors and people living with disabilities to age in community; safely in the homes they love and neighborhoods they know. The village provides resources to meet the practical as well as the social, cultural, and educational interest of seniors living in San Francisco's Richmond District neighborhood.
