At Supergleu (500 Startups, Batch 17), we believe no one should have to look for their next job by themselves. That’s why we’re building Supergleu, the first social platform that helps college students connect and share job opportunities with each other.
We are an early stage, for-profit EdTech venture, founded in October 2015 with a talented and creative team focused on a creating a meaningful brand that will impact the daily lives of college students all around the world.
Our first product is a iOS app where students can read the latest industry news, connect & share their opinions with friends and get noticed by employers. Our app is in closed beta and we are currently conducting paid, private pilots with two paying enterprise customers in the Northeast region area.
Since 2015, we have:
Won first place in MLT Shark Tank Pitch Competition
Won the Lumina Prize for Education
Secured initial pre-seed funding through:
4.0 Schools Incubator (January ’16)
Camelback Ventures EdTech Fellowship (August ‘16)
500 Startups Accelerator (August ‘16)
The Dream Team
The two founders have distinctive domain expertise: one is a Wharton MBA / ex-McKinsey consultant & designer; the other is 10-year educator with a performing arts background (e.g., The Ailey School, Cirque du Soleil). We recently brought on a VP of Content who has developed content for HBO and national recording artists.
