The Civic Education Project (CEP) is an award-winning leadership and civic engagement program based at Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development.
CEP combines hands-on education and community service to promote civic responsibility among young people. Through its CivicWeek, Civic Leadership Institute and CivicAction programs, CEP has been training and inspiring students to become active, engaged citizens.
CEP also offers teacher training and support for service-learning efforts. Since the program's founding in 1997, over 6,000 students have participated in over 500 programs and courses and dedicated more than 165,000 total hours to service in host communities throughout the country.
